He was entirely too sober.

“No. They were a present.” Hadn’t I already said that? No one listened to me. “He gave them to Daddy and Daddy used them on me.”

It was really very simple.

“They were soft?” Lane’s question had me scrunching up my face. Hadn’t I said that? “Why didn’t Cohen use them on you?”

Why hadn’t he?

I shrugged. “They were a present.”

Everyone nodded, finally understanding.

“But he’s straight? Right?” Emerson seemed to be inching across the coffee table as he studied my face. “Cohen, I mean. Bishop isn’t straight. He’s a pup and he’s funny and he’s a good Daddy. Everyone says so.”

More nodding.

Everyone had said so.

“He really is. He cuddles me and…and does all kinds of Daddy stuff.” I’d write the list out later when I remembered more. He liked lists because Uncle Cohen liked lists and Daddy liked making Uncle Cohen happy.

They all made aww sounds like they knew how sweet he was.

Everyone loved Daddy, but I got to love him more because he was my Daddy.

“He’s a very good Daddy.” Lane nodded, taking it appropriately seriously.

Appropriately seriously.

Appropriate was such a good word—

“But what about Cohen?” Lane’s voice made the fun word vanish from my head, but I couldn’t be mad because he was…curious.

Curious about what, though? “What about Uncle Cohen?”

Was he here?

Oh, had he texted?

Lane interrupted again before I found where my phone had escaped to. Hadn’t I just been holding it? “Is he a good Daddy? Are you sure he isn’t straight? We really shouldn’t date straight men even if they give good gifts and are nice.”

That was probably a good rule, but presents were very nice…

“He’s not straight.” How did I know that, though? He said so didn’t seem to be a good answer. “He flogged me and made Daddy suck my dick.”

That had to be very gay, right?

I glanced down at my lap and nodded, but as I looked up, they were all looking very concerned again. “What?”

“Is letting someone else suck your dick gay?” Kenton inched closer. “No one told me that.”

Lane sighed. “I don’t think that counts.”

It didn’t?

Good grief, was Cohen straight and just didn’t know it?

“Um, he laid me on top of Daddy after the flogging and rubbed me so I made Daddy come?” It’d seemed gay at the time, but maybe not…

They shook their heads.

Oh dear.

“Um, Daddy was going to suck his cock tonight. That’s gay, right?” Wasn’t it?

Emerson was nearly lying on the coffee table now. “That means Bishop is gay, but straight guys say it doesn’t count because they’re not doing the sucking.”

Where had his pants gone?

Kenton nodded. “A straight guy at the bar a few weeks ago said mouths are all the same in the dark, but Eli said that was stupid and if he couldn’t tell a master at work from some drunk college girl trying to look cool, then the guy was a fuck turd.”

What was a fuck turd?

Eli knew the weirdest facts.

“Um, I don’t think they’re doing it in the dark.” Should I ask just to make sure? “Cohen talks to Daddy and helped him with my surprise.”

Wasn’t that gay?

“He’s helpful.” Lane shook his head. “Some straight guys are helpful.”

Emerson nodded enthusiastically. “I knew one who was so helpful he jerked me off. He was very polite too.”

Huh?

Maybe Cohen wasn’t gay?

Did Daddy know?

He was going to be so sad.

“Daddy will be very sad if Cohen is straight. We have to figure it out so I can explain it to them.” We had to fix this.

I looked at Lane so he could fix it…he was almost sober, so that made him in charge.

“Oh…” Lane’s eyes got wider and he looked around. “Um, maybe we should study the restraints and see if they look gay? That might help? They’re soft, right?”

“Yes. Very soft.” Was that gay? No one had ever told me that, but Leashes & Lace had a lot of gay men and a lot of soft things, so it made sense.

That got everyone nodding and Emerson slid off the coffee table onto the floor again. “Then let’s figure it out so we know for sure. This is very important.”

And very stressful.

“Yes, but first I have to find my phone and I think I need more slushy.” It was good for emotional fortitude.

Fortitude.

Fortitude.

That was such a good word…I should make a list of all the good words I’d found to show to Cohen to make him happy when I had to tell him he was straight.

He liked lists.

Chapter 24

Bishop

“Houston, we have a problem.” As the phone connected and a strange voice came through the phone, it took me a second to realize that the weird thing on the screen was a face and not a bad image of someone’s ass.

“Who’s that?” Cohen leaned over my shoulder, studying what seemed to be the side of someone’s nose. “What are they doing?”
