We’d negotiated everything thoroughly and they even knew which hospital to take me to if something crazy happened. I wasn’t going to end up at one of the fancy hospitals where they’d see the panties and I’d end up on the fucking news.

I was going to the slightly interesting one near Leashes & Lace because they were used to our shenanigans and didn’t care what we showed up in.

I liked professionals no matter what field they were in.

It was why we had favorites of everything from flower shops to dentists…mostly because of Eli, of course, but we knew if they could handle him, nothing the rest of us did would get noticed.

“Okay.” As I climbed the porch, I took another deep breath and let it out slowly. “Drama is not a safeword.”

I was pretty sure Roman had said that at some point as he’d rolled his eyes at Eli, but the message stuck with all of us.

It didn’t matter if I was nervous because that wasn’t going to stop a scene, so I didn’t have to worry about looking silly.

Daddy thought silly was cute, and I was pretty sure Cohen was going to appreciate how hard I was.

It was going to be fine.

Shit.

As I walked in, Daddy was standing in the foyer like I was a teenager who was sneaking in late from a date. “What do you have to say for yourself?”

“Eli did it?” It was a purely random response as I set my keys and phone down, but it usually fixed problems at work, so I wasn’t surprised when Daddy started shaking his head and muttering about nosy drama queens and…and ponies?

Fuck.

“And Kenton.” I shrugged, aiming for innocent. “I didn’t say anything.”

Daddy was back to giving me a very Dom glare that was not helping my erection situation. “Roman called to make sure I knew you couldn’t have a pony because that would just fuck with everyone else…and he didn’t like unreasonable competition?”

No laughing.

No laughing.

No laughing.

“Uncle Cohen.” Calling out, I gave Daddy a quick cheek kiss and dashed through the house, relief running through me when I heard him upstairs. “I love you. Save me.”

Laughter came from the bedroom as I ran up the stairs, throwing myself at Cohen. “Daddy’s…frustrated.”

Calling him insane probably wouldn’t be a good idea because I wasn’t sure if he could hear me or not.

Coughing and trying to get his laughter under control, he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. “He was slightly irritated when Roman called to make sure he knew you couldn’t get a pony.”

God, why had that seemed like a good idea?

What had Eli done?

Leaning closer, I whispered. “What did Daddy say?”

The drive from work to Cohen’s house wasn’t that far.

How had things gone pear shaped so quickly?

Cohen was back to snickering as Daddy stomped around downstairs grumbling just quietly enough that the sound was muffled. “He was very polite but told Roman that what he got his boy was no one else’s business and then might’ve implied that if Roman was a real Dom, he’d have already known Eli wanted a pony.”

Pressing my face into Cohen’s chest to muffle my giggles, I felt his body jerk as he barely held back more laughter. When he could finally breathe, he kissed my head. “Preston is going to kill us for starting World War III at the office.”

Oh yeah.

Pulling back, I shrugged. “I didn’t do it. Kenton and Eli did.”

Snickering, Cohen took a deep breath and shook his head. “I didn’t know what to say. Bishop was very offended… and there was lots of very sexy righteous indignation.”

Giggling, I pressed my forehead against him and tried to get a hold of myself. “I don’t know if I would’ve wanted to hear that conversation or not.”

Now he was laughing again. “Yeah, it was…interesting might be a good word?”

We’d almost gotten our slightly inappropriate humor under control when I heard Daddy on the stairs.

Oops.

Okay, no more laughter.

I said the only thing I could think of that I knew would be guaranteed to stop our laughter. I inched closer and whispered. “Can I see the clothes, Sir?”

Cohen went still as he sucked in a breath and groaned.

I couldn’t help giggling when he tightened his grip on me and his hands slid down to palm my ass cheeks as he tugged me closer. “I was a naughty boy, Sir.”

Aiming for innocent and easily forgivable, I tried to look contrite. “I might’ve told Kenton you were going to dress me up for the gym. I didn’t tell him anything else, but it was really a punishment for him being naughty. Honest.”

Bishop came in at that point and snorted. “He deserves whatever he gets.”

I wasn’t sure anyone deserved a reward from Eli, but it was already done, so I wasn’t going to feel bad about it.
