“I’d do more than eye-fucking if my brother hadn’t given me a stern talkin’-to,” I admit, wishing my body hadn’t given me away. If Gemma noticed, I’m sure Archer did too.

“Yeah, he’s been adamant about that for weeks. I think he’s just worried about you,” she reassures me.

“When will he stop with the overly protective big brother thing?”

Her face softens. “Probably never.”

“I love Tyler, and I know he means well, but give a girl a bone.”

“A real-life bone,” she adds just as Archer returns.

“Okay, I’m ready,” Archer states, seeming more comfortable in the black slacks, belt, tie, and cream dress shirt.

Lowering my eyes down his body, I say, “Damn, I think I’m pretty good at this outfit thing.”

“I’d say so,” Archer agrees, adjusting the black tie that pops against his shirt.

I notice the hem of one leg is tucked into his dress shoe. “I like this pose, so don’t move an inch.”

I hand Gemma my camera and move toward him. I drop down to fix the material, and when I glance up, our eyes meet. Heat rushes through me again, and my heart rate increases as I think about how close I am to his cock—that just so happens to be bulging against the slacks.

I gulp hard when his brow arches as if he’s noticed my reaction. When I stand and turn around, I meet Gemma’s eyes. Immediately, she starts taking photos.

“You two get together?” She points her finger at us.

“Gemma...” I say. My panties are soaked, and being this close to him is tempting enough.

“Nope, time for you to give the camera some action.”

I snort at her choice of words but don’t argue, even though I never post pictures of myself online. I’d much rather be the one behind the camera.

However, I humor her and pose next to him as she clicks away. Archer pulls me closer, grasping my waist with his strong hands as we stare at the camera.

“Wow, Ev. You’re a natural. Why aren’t you modeling your own clothes?”

All I can do is laugh.

Archer’s hand slides down, brushes across my ass, and slips into my back pocket. Goddamn, the man is such a tease. There’s no way he can’t feel the electricity between us right now.

Gemma continues snapping pictures, and when she lowers it, I move forward to grab it. “Welp, guess I need to get goin’. Time sure does fly!” A sly smile meets her lips as she hands me the camera.

I give her an evil look because it’s more than obvious what she’s doing.

She gives me a hug and whispers in my ear, “Your brother may be against it, but I’m all about that happily ever after. Especially if it gives me a niece or nephew.”

Grinning, I squeeze her tighter and thank her again.

“Nice seein’ you, Archer. Don’t be a stranger,” she says with a wink.

“You too. I’m sure we’ll see each other again soon,” he responds.

When we’re alone, he looks at me. “Shall I go change?”

“Yeah, that’s a good idea. Don’t want to lose the good natural lighting.”

When he walks back into the shop, I try to compose myself. I need to be professional, but Archer ignites something in me I haven’t felt before.

When he returns, I brush hair out of my face and grin. This time, he’s wearing dark wash jeans and a navy tee. Between his muscular arms and tats, the gossip mill is gonna lose their shit. Luckily, he seems to be growing more relaxed with each passing second.

Once these are posted, I’m going to get a ton of comments and messages asking about his relationship status, and my jealousy won’t be able to handle it. Of course we’re only roommates, but if anyone is getting a chance to be with him, it will be me. I’ll elbow a bitch to be first in line.

“We’re almost done here,” I tell him as I move around and click more photos.

“Whew, okay,” I breathe out. “I think we’re good. Wanna see?”

He nods and comes closer as I scroll through them.

“Wow, they look great. You got some good angles.”

“Really?” My voice goes up an octave because hearing his approval sends shivers down my spine.

“Yeah, photography is definitely your thing.”

I shake my head. “Nah. I just learned how to do this because of the shop. Trial and error. Kinda figured it out and taught myself what works and doesn’t.”

I keep sifting through them until I find the ones Gemma took of us. Stealing a sideways glance, I see his mouth move into a small smirk.

I wish I could read his mind so I could learn everything about him and his life before coming here, but I’d still rather hear it from him.

After Archer has changed into his own clothes, he comes out and tries to hand me the hangers, but I shake my head. “Those are yours.”
