The bed creaked beneath them, the force of her riding him moving it along its springs. Her body bucked as she came in yet another flood against him and he was done with her being in charge, ready now to take what he wanted from her. His hands lifted her upward and flipped her over, slamming his hard cock into her pussy and rocking her back and forth. Her hands pushed at the headboard, bracing herself against his powerful thrusts as he got deeper inside her.

“God, that’s good,” she breathed. “Harder, Tucker.”

Their bodies slammed back and forth, the roughness created its own kind of pleasure and then, neither could hold back, their bodies giving in almost simultaneously. They crumbled against one another, sated and broken apart for one another. They laid like that for a long time, until the monitor crackled nearby and she forced herself up out of bed to get dressed for an early morning feeding. Much to her surprise, Tucker did the same, helping her by changing each triplet while the others were feeding.

She watched him lovingly, but soon averted her eyes, knowing that falling in love with him wasn’t something she could afford. Instead, she focused on her feeding and when they were done, they returned to her room, curling up together in a peaceful sleep.

CHAPTER TWENTY

Leslie was sure that anyone who took one good look at her could tell she was glowing. The weekend with Tucker had been magical. He might not actually be her husband, but she had felt like he was since they had talked. He had begun sleeping in her room, for now. Marla wasn’t there on weekends, so it was easier, to be close to the babies. With her return on Monday, Leslie would take the monitor, just for peace of mind, but sleep in his room with him.

What had started as a way to make a new life for herself was now a very different thing. Though they were still in the early stages of a relationship, she could see a future with him and he seemed to feel the same way. With him as the new Alpha of his pack, they were required to spend more time with the pack and he had recently expressed a desire to move closer to them. It said a lot to her that he consulted with her on any thoughts about the matter.

“What do you think?”

“I think it’s your call, Tucker. I know you left the pack for a reason and you seem to love this place. Where would you want to move to over there?”

“There is a strip of land that my Aunt Meredith owns. It’s not huge, about six acres, but it has a small pond and it’s flat, perfect for building. If I go upward, like I did with this one, we can have a substantial house on it and still have plenty of land surrounding the house.”

“How far is it from the club compound?”

“It’s adjacent to the property. We can access the clubhouse from a private road that runs along the backside of the compound.”

“Tucker, you and I haven’t been together very long. I mean, I don’t really know where we are headed with all this or if it’s just . . . convenient, maybe. I don’t want to encourage you to do something you might regret later.”

Tucker looked at her, his lips pursed, his brows pushed together in a frown. For a moment, he said nothing, but he finally spoke, seeming to choose his words carefully.

“I wish I had never hired you to pose as my wife,” he said, causing Leslie to suck in her breath, bracing for the worst.

She felt the words to her very core, dropping her head down to hide her feelings. He reached out, grasping her chin and pulling it back up to face him before speaking further.

“I wish I had just met you and we had dated like normal people. I would have liked for our relationship to not be crowded by this farce I forced us into.”

“Without that, we most likely would have never met,” Leslie replied, her clinched body relaxing a bit.

“That is also true, so I guess you take the good with the bad. What I know, Leslie, is that I’ve not felt anything for a long time. I’ve walled myself away here, avoiding human contact as much as possible. I built this huge house for a family I never intended to have. Now, I want to build one for the family I hired and hopefully, the one that will stay even after they’ve fulfilled their end of the bargain.”

“What are you trying to say?” she asked.

“I’m trying to say that I want this to work between us.”

“I do too,” she replied.

“I’m trying to say that I love you more than I ever thought it possible to love a woman. I love you and I love our girls.”
