Her mouth is around my cock and with the heat and the water and my pent-up need—it’s taking every cell inside me not to grab underneath her arms, hoist her up, hook her legs around my hips, and drive my erection inside of her.

I need to come. I need to come now. Holding the back of her head, I flex forward, my cock sliding between her lips, and her eyes flit up to mine while she touches herself—that does me in. I release in her mouth, and she hits a second climax.

Jesus.

I think she could go again, honestly, and I want to exhaust her with my cock. I really fucking do, but this is too much for me. Will I regret taking her pseudo-virginity like this? I dunno, and that uncertainty scares the shit outta me enough to stop.

After we wash off, I shut off the shower and keep our pinkies hooked. Stepping out, I say, “Maybe we should pump the brakes on taking showers together? If it’s alright with you, we’ll just wait until we have sex to do it again?”

Luna nods slowly. “Yeah, okay.”

I look her over. She seems at ease with this plan and more relaxed after coming. The air is light between us while we mosey around the bathroom without breaking physical contact.

A black towel is slung low around my waist, and we’re scrounging for our toothbrushes and paste.

She’s telling me about her hunt for a new therapist. With no prodding from me, Luna decided to let go of Dr. Raven. I didn’t want to be the reason she kicked her to the curb, but I am the sole reason. Apparently, Dr. Raven still thinks I’m not good for Luna and that she’s obsessing too much over me. Even after the joint session. Which has just obliterated Luna’s trust in her. She thought the joint session would change Dr. Raven’s opinion of me, but it didn’t do much.

I’ve been talking more with Lo, and he said it’s a good thing she’s finding a new therapist. That it’s not my fault this one isn’t panning out. It made me feel less like a bad influence.

“I really, really like Dr. Frisk,” Luna says. “We spent fifteen minutes just talking about our tattoos. She has an aardvark with a bifocal on her arm.”

It’s good hearing she’s already connected to someone new. I tell her that.

Then I ask how her college courses are going, since I’m not around for those. She’s acing Astronomy (knew she would), scraping by in Economics, and holding on for dear life in Television and New Media.

She spits some Colgate into the sink basin beside mine. “He’s just a know-it-all. But not like the know-it-alls who can back their shit up. He’s the one who chose We Are Calloway and he doesn’t even know about the Fanaticon forums. How do you teach a class about new media without talking about the social medias that cover television?” She leans a hip against the counter, turning to me as I continue brushing my pearly whites. She has a palm on the counter, and my hand covers hers.

I’m learning new things about Luna.

Like how she doesn’t always use a towel after a shower. She put on a thick bathrobe. Neon green, the hood is an alien head with floppy antennas that bob around when she talks. Looks like something from Urban Outfitters. Water still drips down her legs, her footsteps creating shallow pools. She doesn’t mind. Neither do I. “In conclusion to this essay,” she says. “Professor Roach is a dick.”

I spit in the sink and toss the toothbrush in a cup. “I volunteer to kick his dick.”

“You’re way behind,” she tells me. “Eliot already volunteered. About forty times.” She hops up on the sink counter, careful to keep her hand beneath mine.

I rub a fist against the fogged mirror. “With that much enthusiasm, I’m shocked Eliot hasn’t made a surprise appearance in your class.”

“I don’t think he trusts himself.” Her eyes dance around me as she watches me uncap the deodorant with my teeth. “Um…” She clears her throat. “You sure about what you said earlier?”

“One hundred percent, I’ll never fuck in a Wawa. Holy grounds and all.”

She smiles. “No, the other thing.” She scoots farther back on the counter, her shoulders hitting the mirror. “About the shower…and waiting.”

I try to read her expression, but it’s a little difficult. If she’s been mulling this over more, then maybe she’s not as okay with waiting to shower together until we have sex.

I take a second to collect my thoughts. Stepping closer to Luna, I touch her bare knee with my other hand and skate my fingers to her calf. Squatting down, I grab eye drops from the depths of the cupboard.

“I’m sure,” I tell her. “But if we need to talk about it, we can.” While I rise back to my feet, I track my hand up her body, planting it firmly on her knee that peeks out of the bathrobe.
