Sean put up a hand as though trying to ward off the tiger Kyle could become. “It’s not the way it sounds. West has been her bodyguard for the last couple of weeks.”

“West? West is barely out of training. What are you trying to do? Get her killed?” Kyle practically shouted the question.

Sean groaned and slammed the locker door shut, glaring his brother’s way. “I’m not doing this. You wound him up. You deal with him. Kyle, if you don’t want to see your mom doing things you can’t unsee, hide in here. She’s stressed and it’s your fault, and I do not care about your eyes.”

Sean strode out.

And Drake followed him because it was time to figure out if he had any chance with Taylor tonight. Still, he had questions. “Who is West? Is he related to Wade?”

Wade Rycroft was manager of Sanctum in addition to his duties as a bodyguard. He was married to Tag’s longtime administrative assistant. He’d never met a West.

“Yes, West is Wade’s brother, and he’s good at his job and he gives Mae some of the space she needs right now,” Sean replied. “She’s been having to hang out with Erin and her family for weeks, and while they’re lovely, MaeBe is a single young woman who needs to have her own life. She’s staying with West for the time being. I don’t think she’s going to fall in love with him, but Kyle made that choice.”

“If it’s any consolation, I think he’ll go back eventually.” After they’d taken care of Julia. “I know he’s insisting that he won’t, but he already misses his family.”

Sean stopped just outside the locker room. “I hope that’s the case, but I fear he’s going to have lost his chance with her. I don’t know how he handles that.”

He couldn’t think that way. Kyle had done what he’d done to protect MaeBe. If she couldn’t forgive Kyle, there was no way Taylor ever forgave him. “I think those two will figure it out. I think they’re meant to be. I know when I watch them together, they fit. Like Ian and Charlotte fit.”

“Like you and me,” a soft voice said.

Drake looked over, and Grace had walked out of the women’s locker room.

Damn. Yeah, Kyle might have a problem with seeing his mom like that, but Drake did not. Grace looked stunning in a white corset and thong and killer heels.

Sean reached out a hand, and she moved to him. “Like you and me.” He brought her hand to his lips. “Always.”

That was the moment he realized Taylor had walked out behind Grace.

And he was pretty sure his jaw hit the floor.

She was stunning. He’d thought she was gorgeous with long blonde hair, but she was every bit as lovely with her chic bob of auburn. She wore a purple corset and matching thong, and over-the-knee boots that made her legs look a mile long.

She looked like every Bond-girl fantasy he’d ever had, and he’d had a couple.

The door to the men’s locker room slammed open and Kyle walked out, his finger pointed Sean’s way.

“You need to talk to…” Kyle stopped, turned, and walked right back into the locker room. “Nope.”

Taylor’s eyes lit with mirth, and she clapped a hand over her mouth.

Grace blushed. “We should go into the dungeon. I think he’s learned his lesson now.”

Sean led her away. “Oh, I doubt it, but we’re going to forget everything for the rest of the night. For tonight it’s just you and me. You are still the most beautiful sub in the world. Have I told you that lately?”

“She does not look old enough to be Kyle’s mom.” Taylor’s lips had curled up, and there was a wistful expression on her face as she watched the other couple disappear into the main dungeon.

“She’s a lovely woman, but Sean is wrong.”

She stared at him, the soft expression fleeing. “I suppose I’m the most beautiful sub in the world.”

It was good she understood. “You said it. I would never correct you. Have you thought about what we talked about earlier?”

“I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

And yet she was here, and she’d made sure she looked like sin on two long legs. “Okay. Well, I guess I’ll watch some scenes for a while. I hope you have a good night.”

She frowned as though she hadn’t expected he would move on so quickly. When he walked past her, she fell in beside him. “Seriously? I’m supposed to believe you’re just going to watch?”

He held open the door to the main dungeon for her. From here he could see there was already a couple on the main stage, and it looked like they were doing a suspension scene. “I don’t know what else I would do. I told you I don’t intend to risk playing with someone I don’t know while we’re working this mission. I can’t force you to do the same, but I can ask you to be cautious. I think it would be best to wait until we get to The Garden if you need a play partner. Sandra doesn’t have the same physical security Damon has. The Garden is locked down tight. Sandra has a whole other business going on in another part of this building. She’s careful, but not the way Damon is. If you need a session, I could ask Kyle if he would help out in one of the privacy rooms. He’s serious about not seeing his mom.”
