Truthfully, I shouldn’t even be here tonight.

Really, I knew I shouldn’t.

But I was just so freakin’ angry.

Angry about Keda.

Angry that the asshole had gotten a restraining order on me when the fucker hadn’t even provided evidence of my stalking. And I knew he didn’t know it was for sure me. Sure, he guessed. And he was right. But that didn’t mean he could just pop out a restraining order and be awarded it. There were laws and procedures for a reason.

But apparently, Taite didn’t have to follow the law.

He was above it.

Which was why I was here tonight.

Tonight, I was going to take the woman he loved.

I’d done my research.

Which was partially in the text I’d sent to her two minutes ago, and then told her where to meet me if she wanted more.

It was just my luck that she’d come tonight.

I had a burning need to set Taite’s world on fire, and I was going to do that starting with his girlfriend.

Last week, I’d read an article about Alana Eldorado and Taite DeRosa getting so serious that they were ‘trying to have kids immediately.’ In the article, they’d talked about their struggles to get pregnant, and how they’d tried and failed to get pregnant for over six months.

Which had been curious to me, because in the article, they’d talked about Taite’s infertility.

Which had been a huge ass lie. Just last month, Kaylee had sent me some news article about how Taite had gotten a girl pregnant in high school, and immediately upon turning eighteen he’d gotten a vasectomy.

I’d wondered why I would need that information, but now it sure was coming in handy.

Then again, I had more than just the information about a vasectomy to give her.

I also had a whole slew of photos of Taite with his side piece.

How did I get these shots, you ask?

I didn’t break my stupid restraining order, no.

I hired a private investigator who was loyal to my cause—she’d lost her own friend to suicide just like I had—and she’d done the work pro-bono.

Nervously standing in the empty hallway only staff used, I wondered if I should take my stupid white wig off.

It was edgy, and I liked it a lot. But it itched, and I had a thing about texture, and the inside of the wig was weaved with some really scratchy material that was driving me insane.

That, and my left sock was twisted weird, causing me to feel the seams.

And my dress.

I hated wearing dresses.

I was a jeans and t-shirt, or leggings and oversized sweater kind of girl.

The short black number I was wearing was more Keda’s style.

Hence her buying it for me a couple of years ago, insisting that every girl needed a little black dress.

She was right, of course.

In my revenge, I’d needed it a couple of times.

The door beside me finally pushed open, and Alana appeared.

I’d never met her.

I’d also never watched any of her movies.

But I’d seen her face all over magazines when her and Taite had started dating, and she was even more beautiful in person.

I suddenly got nervous.

Earlier, I’d been all for making his life a living hell, and if that included dragging Alana into it, so be it.

But now, looking at her sweet face…

“Tell me everything,” she ordered, a fierce look coming over her face. “I do not want to have to deal with this again.”

I blinked at the fierceness but decided… fuck it.

If she wanted to know, why wouldn’t I tell her?

So, I began. “Do you know who I am?”

Alana shrugged. “Honestly, I don’t really care who you are. I know that sounds bad, but if you have any more context to go with that photo you shared, I’d listen to a murderer. I can’t go through this again.”

I swallowed, then handed her the file folder.

“I’m Hollis Aue. Taite was directly responsible for terrorizing my friend. My friend who then took her own life after his show where he humiliated her,” I stated.

Alana softened. “I thought that was a joke.”

I was already shaking his head. “That’s the way he spun it, yes. He said it was for ‘media attention for his new show’ but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It was real life. It happened.”

“Your friend was wearing a diaper?” she asked. “When Taite explained it to me, he said it was a publicity stunt for his show. That’s… you’re his stalker. You’re the one who keeps making his life a living hell.”

I shrugged. “He ruined mine, so I felt like it might be…”

“Karma,” Alana supplied. “You’re serious?”

I nodded, then helped her flip open the file folder.

“I hired an investigator to follow him around. She gives me stuff I can use to do that,” I said. “These are the photos she took of him with about eight other women in all of those cities he visited. The only one of the last nine stops he didn’t have a new girl in was the one where you showed up unexpectedly.”
