No, I scolded myself. This was a mission, not a game. I would do well to remember that.

The clothing Saffron had chosen for Marco had more neutral colors than my bright wardrobe. I supposed that was expected, but I was still annoyed that I would have to go around looking like a tropical bird while he got to wear white and tan.

Marco surveyed the rack. “I’ll try on a few outfits, and once I’m sure of my size, I’ll make more selections, and we’ll be on our way.”

“Take all the time you need,” Saffron said. “I blocked off the afternoon for you so try on as much as you’d like.”

That was my cue. “I want to see you in everything, darling. It’ll be so fun to help you pick out your new wardrobe.” I fought the urge to grimace. I didn’t know I could sound that vapid, but seeing Marco stiffen for a second before he turned and gave me an indulgent smile was worth it.

When he stepped out of the dressing room wearing a tan linen suit with a white t-shirt underneath, I almost swallowed my tongue. The sweater and pants he’d worn that day looked like he might have purchased them recently, but most of his clothes were faded and worn, giving him a rough edge. In this suit, he looked like exactly the kind of man I’d seek out to fulfill all my submissive fantasies.

“Do you like it?” he asked, pitching his voice low.

I had to swallow before I could answer. “It looks amazing on you.”

He glanced at Saffron. “We’ll take it.”

“Of course, sir.”

Marco chose another outfit and headed back to the changing room.

“Can I get some water?” I asked Saffron as soon as he was gone.

He grinned. “Certainly. I could use some myself.”

Every outfit Marco put on transformed him from a rough-edged mafia guy to an island sugar daddy, and while I would’ve said that wasn’t a thing for me before today, I would’ve been wrong. I was practically drooling on myself by the time he came out for the fourth time, and I was sure he knew it.

Maybe denying myself was wrong. Maybe I should get whatever enjoyment I could out of this trip and this infuriating man. No one had to know, and afterward I could just insist on not working with him again. I’d go back to the kind of hookups I was used to, not the all-consuming surrender he forced from me.

Could I do that, though? If I had him over and over, could I really accept someone less potent?

I’d have to because giving up control on a regular basis wasn’t going to happen.

When Saffron brought out swimwear for Marco, I rose from my seat and grabbed a black Speedo that was hanging on the rack. “Oh my gosh, you’d look so good in this one. You’ve got to try it.”

Marco smiled, but I saw anger in his eyes. His tight smile let me know he’d counted on staying in control while we were here. I was sure he’d only intended to try on swim trunks, and he was now contemplating how to torture me.

“Why don’t we just buy it, and I’ll try it on for you at home?”

“We need to be sure it fits. You do need plenty of room in the front.”

Saffron started a coughing fit like he’d swallowed the wrong way. We weren’t making his day easy. He deserved a show from Marco.

“That’s certainly true, baby.” Marco gave me an evil smile as he took the suit and headed for the dressing room. As I watched him walk away, I wondered if I’d made a mistake. Did I really want to see him in the little scrap of fabric, in public, where anyone could see my reaction?

A few moments later, he walked back out. My mouth dropped open, and I just stared. The suit left nothing to the imagination. I hadn’t been kidding about him needing plenty of room. The fabric barely contained his thick cock. I fought the urge to fan myself.

“I don’t have to ask if you like it, baby,” he said. “I can already tell.”

“Yeah, it’s… I like it.”

“I never doubted you would. Should I buy it?”

“Ab-absolutely.” We did want to make Arlington and his friends spill their secrets after all.

“I’ll take these trunks too,” Marco said, pointing to two pairs that were hanging on the rack.

Saffron just nodded. He seemed to have been rendered speechless. At least we were keeping him entertained.

Marco winked at me before he walked back to the dressing room. I didn’t say a word.

Once he was back in the clothes he’d worn to the shop, we both accepted another glass of champagne while Saffron wrapped up all our purchases and billed them to X’s account. I had no idea what he thought about X treating us to new wardrobes, but when you paid the sort of premium X did, discretion was an expected part of the package.
