Brock was being interviewed again. He laughed at something the pretty sports reporter said and shook his head. He held a buckle that was framed in a case in his hands. My eyes roamed over him. The cowboy hat, the dark-red shirt, the chaps.

Good Lord, those chaps.

I was getting more turned on by the second as my mind went to a few different naughty images of Brock in only those chaps. And how wrong was that, with me holding his son?

He turned and saw me, and a wide grin covered his face. A few guys who worked for the PBR were telling Brock to head on out to the middle of the arena, but he motioned for me. I figured he wanted to take Blayze from me to bring with him.

I was right; he reached for Blayze—but then he grabbed my neck and pulled me in for a kiss.

The fact that the CBS camera was still on him didn’t seem to faze him at all.

He stepped back, winked at me, and walked out into the arena.

I stood there, stunned, watching him and trying not to look at the camera that was still pointed at me now. When they realized they weren’t getting anything out of me, the camera crew followed Brock.

Stella walked up next to me and bumped my arm. I looked at her as she said, in a very country drawl, “I daresay, my son has made a very loud and clear statement.”

The heat on my face was intense, and I immediately prepared myself for all the things Kaylee was going to say to me. She was going to have a field day with this. Swallowing hard, I replied, “Please tell me that wasn’t on national TV.”

Stella laughed and clapped her hands. She was enjoying this a little too much.

Dirk and Ty were both now standing next to us, grinning with pride. The way they supported each other made my heart soar.

I looked at both men. They were smiling and calling out Brock’s name. I glanced back out to see Brock. He had his cowboy hat off, waving it around. Then he went into an interview with two PBR commentators. I held my breath, hoping they wouldn’t mention the kiss.

They didn’t, and I let out the breath I’d been holding when Brock and Blayze made their way back to us.

The celebration dinner was packed with people, including Charles—who was one of Brock’s sponsors—a few bull riders and stock contractors, and family I hadn’t met until tonight.

Every time Brock’s leg hit mine or he brushed his arm against me, it nearly drove me insane. My body was building up sexual tension I’d never experienced before. I was the epitome of a horny woman desperately wanting sex.

When Brock laughed, my insides shook. When he leaned in to whisper something to me, the pulse between my legs grew. Hell, when Brock ate, drank, talked to Blayze . . . all of it was whipping up a frenzy inside me. I wasn’t sure if it was the atmosphere, Brock winning today, Brock looking so sexy, or just the idea that maybe he’d make me his tonight—or all of the above.

I turned to Kaylee, who was sitting next to me. “Is it just me, or is it really hot in here?”

She took a bite of her food and shook her head. “No, it’s hot in here, but a different sort of hot. I’m pretty sure it’s from cowboy overload. I’m ready to strip off my clothes and ask for one to take me right now.”

I giggled and bumped her shoulder. “Well, anyone catch your eye?”

We kept our voices down, especially since Ty was sitting directly across from Kaylee. I couldn’t help but notice every time he stole a glance or two her way.

With a half shrug, Kaylee replied, “Yeah, I don’t know if I’m ready for that after all.”

“All talk, no action, huh?”

She chuckled. “I guess so.”

I glanced over to see Ty watching us. I looked away and focused on the handsome cowboy sitting next to me. It was then I caught a glimpse of a blonde staring at Brock. Or was she staring at me? I smiled politely, and she looked away.

I reached under the table and placed my hand on Brock’s leg. I needed to touch him in some way. I was feeling a bit brave, so I moved it to the inside of his thigh. My heart sped up, and I knew if Kaylee’d had any idea of how brazen I was being, she would be proud. I couldn’t help but notice that Brock seemed to tremble for a quick moment. My stomach flipped with excitement at the idea that my touch could make him react like that.

The gentleman across from me started to ask questions about what I thought of all this. It was Brock’s uncle Danny. I absentmindedly rubbed the inside of Brock’s thigh and didn’t even realize how far up I’d moved on his leg, because I was lost in a conversation with Danny and Stella—until Brock grabbed my hand and stopped me, making me jerk with surprise.
