No Wolves Road is a human town constantly visited by different pack wolves. There is one rule—no conflict in town. For Eloise Richards, she refuses to become another notch on any wolf's bedpost. She noticed how the wolves, men and women, come and use them. None of them want a human mate.

Beau only intended to help the young woman who didn’t like to be flirted with. Now he can’t get her out of his mind, and she seems to be everywhere he turns.

She has no intention of falling for the wolf with the reputation for being a nasty alpha, but one kiss, and all bets are off.

Beau knows he’s messed up when he discovers she's a virgin. What was meant to be a quick fling, soon turns into much more.

Eloise doesn’t expect him to take the news of her pregnancy well, but when he accuses her of being with someone else, that hurts more than anything. She will never forgive him.

He messed up and this time, it might just cost him his woman and child. Beau knows he’s got to do something to make it right. But what can he do. Eloise won’t talk to him. She doesn’t want anything to do with him. How can he fix this?

Chapter One

Eloise Richards walked right up to Wayne, the barman, tapping on the counter. She offered the older man a smile and waited for him to finish serving one of his customers.

“What’s up, honey?” he asked.

“Have you seen my sister, Dorothy?”

Wayne pursed his lips, clicked his tongue, and then shook his head. “Not for a few days now.”

She scrunched up her nose as that was not the answer she wanted to hear. “Let me guess, another wolf?”

“Bingo,” Wayne said.

“Great. If you see her, let her know her mother and sister are worried sick, and would like her to show up for work.”

“You got it. Do you want a drink?”

Eloise didn’t need to look to know there were a lot of wolves around. “Nah, thanks. If you see Dorothy, please call me.”

Even though their mother, Wendy, didn’t seem concerned, Eloise couldn’t help but be. She knew Wendy loved to play around with the wolves that came to their town. No Wolves Road was a small town hidden away, but on the border of so many different packs. The residents were human. Eloise didn’t quite know how it all worked, only that there was some sort of deal made a long time ago for a few select humans and wolves to live peacefully.

No wars broke out within their small town, and the wolves from the different packs that visited were peaceful. Arguments and conflict would not be allowed on their own land.

The only problem Eloise had seen was that the wolves used the men and women when they pleased. Her sister Dorothy had been in a relationship with multiple wolves over the past few years. Eloise didn’t mingle with any of them. It wasn’t that she had any issue with the wolves. She saw right through them, and in her twenty-five years of living in No Wolves Road, she’d never seen any of the wolves mate or marry the women or men who lived in their small town. She had seen both male and female wolves mate fellow wolves, but that was all.

She would not get involved with a man who was not going to take their relationship seriously.

She spun around and took several steps toward the exit, only for a male wolf to step into her path. It was strange, but she was always able to identify a wolf from an ordinary man. The wolves always seemed larger. It wasn’t just muscle, but it was like their whole presence and aura filled the space.

“Well, aren’t you mighty fine?” he said.

They also had the worst pickup lines.

“Thanks,” Eloise said, and went to walk around. She pulled away as he started to grip her arm.

She was aware of their lightning-fast reflexes, but he didn’t seem to want to push the issue of touching her.

“How about you stay and I buy you a drink?” he asked, giving her a wink.

“No, thank you,” she said.

He frowned and she was able to finally move around him, heading toward the exit. “Ugh, I don’t think you quite understand what I’m offering you here.” He grabbed her arm, not too tight, but enough to stop her from getting away.

She turned toward him, folding her arms beneath her breasts as she pulled her arm away from him. Much to her surprise, he did, in fact, let her go.

“What?” She shrugged. “You buy me a drink, I take it, and you think at the end of the night we’re going to be together? Fucking? What?”

The smile on his face said he was more than happy with that. “Well, I was going to say we could start off by slow dancing, but I am more than happy to cut to the fucking.”

He moved in close and Eloise took a couple of steps back. “Not happening. No, thank you.”

“Are you fucking kidding me right now? A lot of women would be more than happy to get it on with this.” He pointed at his body.

“Yeah, and the lady doesn’t want to get anything on with you, you limp dick fuck.”

The voice was gruff, and Eloise had never heard it before. She couldn’t help but attempt to locate it, and as she did, a large, muscular man stepped out of the shadows of the bar. He wore a pair of jeans that had seen better days, along with a white sleeveless t-shirt and flannel shirt.

Eloise couldn’t help but stare, because he didn’t seem real. Black hair with streaks of white let her know he was a mature wolf.

Wolves didn’t exactly age the same as humans. There was a rumor that something had changed the way they aged. Eloise didn’t know if it was due to a magical spell done, or if it was wishful thinking on their part.

“Look, dude, I appreciate you coming over and interfering on my turf, but I think it’s only fair that you back the fuck off!”
