“All in good time,” he groans, panting as if he’s been running a marathon. Those blue eyes gleam as he takes in my flushed cheeks, starry eyes, and the pebbled tips of my giant breasts. “All in good time,” he intones again before reaching forward to place a chaste kiss on my lips. But then he pulls back, those blue eyes intense. “So tomorrow’s your birthday, hmm?”

I nod, unable to access my words because I’m in a thrall to this beastly man.

“Come over again,” he rasps. “But not as a babysitter this time. Tatum will be spending time with her mother tomorrow night, and I want to spend time with you, Paisley. It’s time you became a woman,” he growls. “And I’m going to help you cross that threshold.”

Wordlessly, I nod because I’m magnetized by Brad Landry. I can’t say no to the handsome billionaire, not when my body’s already straining for his, hot and needy.

“Yes, Brad,” I murmur, melting against his wide chest once more. “I’ll be here.”

“Good,” he growls before pulling away and physically turning me around by my shoulders. Then his big hands swat my ass playfully as he marches me to the front door. “I’ll see you tomorrow night then, sweetheart. 8 p.m. sharp.” With that, he kisses the top of my head and pushes me over the threshold before shutting the oak slab behind me. I stand there, astonished and alone, on his stoop for a moment. Did that really just happen? Goodness, am I coming back tomorrow night to be deflowered by this powerful alpha male? I hope so … and I can’t wait.

CHAPTER 7

Paisley

I turn to check my reflection in the mirror. Hair in bouncy waves? Check. Make-up perfectly applied? Check. Ready to have my virginity taken? Check check check.

I giggle before turning away and skipping to my dorm room door because this is so wrong. I should be losing my maidenhead to a boy my age. But instead, I’m losing it to a gorgeous single dad two decades my senior with the body of a Greek god, and I’m trembling with anticipation. After all, what would a gangly teenage student have to offer? A dorm room that stinks of stale pizza and sweaty socks? Oozing, pus-filled acne on his chin that smears against my skin every time we kiss? No, thank you. I’ll take Brad Landry any day of the week.

Even crazier, I’ve decided to go all out. Usually, I’m pretty tame when it comes to clothing. I’m a t-shirt and jeans type of girl, and most days, my hair’s just in a ponytail. But I’ve decided to dress up tonight, although looking down at myself, I wonder if I’ve gone overboard. After all, I’ve squeezed my generous shape into a tiny bandage dress in Barbie-pink. My ta-tas bulge invitingly against the low décolletage, and the tight material hugs my narrow waist while emphasizing the flare of my wide hips. Last of all, I borrowed a pink purse and matching pink heels from my buddy, Tess, and so I’m basically all-pink at the moment. My heart contracts as I wait for my Uber. Is this a mistake? Am I going to come off whore-y and slutty, instead of naughty and available?

Well, it’s too late now, I muse when my ride pulls up to the curb. I’m off to meet the handsome alpha male, and I just hope Brad doesn’t think the wrong thing of me when he gets an eyeful of this outfit. Hell, what if he doesn’t even recognize me? Well, that would be a funny story to tell later on, wouldn’t it?

Far too soon, I’m deposited at his townhouse on the Upper East Side, and I take a deep breath before climbing the stoop and stopping in front of that massive door. Was I really just here yesterday? Somehow, it feels very different and it’s not just because I’m eighteen now. There’s electricity buzzing in the air, and I can feel the energy crawl over my skin, making the hairs on my arms and neck stand up. I wonder if my blonde hair looks extra-fluffy, or if my curves have become more generous somehow. Then I shake my head. Okay, this is getting out of hand. I’m starting to drift into some weird sci-fi fantasy land where Brad Landry makes me absolutely crazy, and I have to keep my head on straight.

But that’s easier said than done because immediately after I press the bell, the heavy door swings open and Brad pulls me into his arms in the foyer, pressing his mouth to mine as he kicks the door shut with one foot.

“Fuck I’ve been waiting for this,” he rasps, those blue eyes gleaming in the dim light of the entryway. “Goddamn, honey. What are you wearing?”

I choke a bit even as my cheeks flush.
