“I was thinking of inserting this into your slick little pussy, sweetheart,” he rasps. “Before pushing it into your ass as well. Would you like that, baby girl? A double-double with a beer bottle?”

The suggestion is so rancid but our girl’s all about the debauchery.

“I think I would,” she whispers back, her eyes dancing. “Should we turn off the TV now?”

Immediately, the remote falls to the floor as clothes begin flying. I pull Patty to me and kiss her deeply, my tongue tracing the sweetness of her lips. Meanwhile, she runs her hand over Chase’s thigh and up under his shirt, moaning as she trails her fingers over those sculpted abs. He pops the button to his jeans and immediately, his huge cock juts out. The tip’s already wet and obediently, Patty bends her head to kiss it.

“That a girl,” Chase breathes, his blue eyes hot. “Shit, it feels so good when you suck.”

But then, an insistent ding penetrates the fog of my mind. Make that two insistent dings because our cells are going off like crazy.

“Fuck!” I swear, scrabbling for my phone. “I fucking hate these fucking Amber Alerts! How many child abductions really happen in our county anyways?”

“Goddamn,” Chase growls, reaching for his own phone. “I always get doubles of these messages too because those idiots at the command center have no idea how to use their computers.”

But then, we open the messages, and my body goes stiff because I see it’s from the number at Fast Theory.

* * *

Your employment at Fast Theory has been terminated for cause effective immediately, the message reads.

* * *

That’s all. There’s nothing but that one sentence and I’m utterly confused while looking up from my phone with bewilderment.

“What the fuck?” I ask. “Did I just get fired? Via text? Who the fuck does this?”

Evidently, Chase must have gotten the same message because he throws his phone down on the coffee table angrily.

“Those fucking idiots. This better not be a spoof. God knows, Fast Theory was hacked by teenage computer nerds in Russia, and now they’re firing everyone just for the hell of it.”

But then, an email pops up in my inbox, and I see that Chase is cc’d on the message. It’s from Matt, our manager.

* * *

Hey boyos!

Sorry for the text, but I just want to confirm that you guys have been fired. Yes, F-I-R-E-D. Yeah, we don’t need you guys anymore, with your unbecoming conduct and dicks up your heads. See ya! Mattie

* * *

“What the fuck is this?” Chase growls, his eyes practically popping out of their sockets. “Who calls us ‘boyos’? What the fuck does ‘unbecoming conduct’ even mean?”

I stare at the email, unable to believe my eyes. Could anything be less professional? I suppose if Matt had written the message in all lower case it would be even worse, but still.

“It doesn’t mean anything,” I growl. “Unbecoming conduct is just professional jargon to mask whatever the hell they actually mean.”

“Wait, what?” Patty asks in a small, tremulous voice. “What’s going on? Why were you guys fired for unbecoming conduct? Why would they say that?”

I sigh. “Who the fuck knows? I still think it could be Russian trolls who’ve hacked corporate. We’re probably going to get random texts next asking us to send cryptocurrency to an unmarked account in exchange for our jobs back.”

But still, Patty takes my phone and reads over both the text and email, her face growing paler with each line as Chase starts pacing again.

“This doesn’t make sense,” he growls. “We have to assume these are real because honestly, only Matt the douche would write like that. Even Russian hackers have better grammar. But seriously, we’re successful, popular trainers. Why would they let us go? What the hell?”

“Conduct unbecoming a Fast Theory employee,” Patty murmurs softly, her fingers trembling and eyes going wide.

“Who even knows what the hell that means?” Chase rages again. “What a bunch of assfucks.”

But then, our girlfriend looks up with tears in her eyes.

“Chase, Chris, I think we need to read between the lines,” she says in a broken voice. “They must have found out about our relationship, and decided to fire you because of it.”

With that statement, Patty’s lower lip wobbles and the tears spill down her cheeks. Seeing my woman in distress is upsetting, and I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut.

“No honey,” Chase speaks fiercely, kneeling in front of her. He takes her hand between his and kisses her fingertips. “Don’t cry, love. It’s not because of our relationship, trust me on this.”

But Patty shakes her head.

“No, it is and I’m so sorry,” she sobs, wiping at her face. “I brought this onto you two. It’s all my fault…”

“No.” Chase and I say this at the same time. I wrap my arm around her shoulders and kiss her temple as Chase continues to soothe her.
