Her eyes settled on the pile of clothes. They’d been focused on her since the second they met. It was her turn to make the effort and show them what they meant to her. She stood and picked out a pair of jeans and a tank top that had the Fallen MC emblem printed on the front. She got dressed and checked her hair. It wasn’t great but it would do. Satisfied that she wasn’t going to look any better without a lot of time or professionals, she left the room.

As the door clicked shut behind her, she realised that she had no idea where she was going so she decided to follow the noise. She got to what must be the bar door that she’d briefly glimpsed the day before. She opened it slightly so that she could peek inside. She was surprised by how many people were in there.

There must have been 20 men sat around scarfing down plates of food like they hadn’t been fed in days. Not one of them were small. They ranged from cute and handsome to down right menacing. Yet it was the few women scattered amongst them that held her attention. They were barely dressed and she was pretty sure she’d just seen a bare ass under a tiny skirt. The idea that Digger, Bones and King were surrounded by these women and she wasn’t with them, made jealousy rise up in her gut. She never realized that she was so possessive over them until now.

She took a steadying breath and was just about to go through the door when a voice spoke from behind her right into her ear, “What’re you doing, angel?”

She nearly jumped out of her skin. She whirled around and pressed a hand to her pounding heart. “I was just coming to see you guys.”

King’s smile lit up his face. “Let’s go get a drink.”

He motioned her forward with a hand placed on her lower back. Entering the bar, she knew she must have looked like a real noobas her wide eyes inspected everything, there was just so much to look at. There were knives sticking out of the walls, holding pieces of fabric that were embroidered with different MC’s emblems. She was pleased to see that quite a few of them were Riot MC. There were vintage posters of motorcycle rallies and pin up girls. The whole place was more homey than she expected with worn leather booths and scarred varnished tables. She could see a few kids playing out the back, with parents shouting out occasionally. A throat cleared near her and she found Bones and Digger watching her with wary eyes from a booth.

King stroked her back, encouraging her forward. “Hey guys.”

They nodded at her and their expressions warmed but she was still feeling awful for making them guarded towards her. She sat and scooted closer to them. She took a chance and grabbed for their hands.

“I’m so so sorry for what I said to you. It wasn’t fair for me to press my insecurities on you. I’m just scared and don’t know how to do this, but I really want to try.”

It took a few seconds of them scrutinizing her expression and then Digger pulled her over his lap and deposited her between Bones and himself. Their size dwarfed and warmed her at the same time. She felt herself relax into them and rested her head on Bone’s arm. King came back to join them with four beers in his hands. She wasn’t usually a beer drinker but…when in Rome.

She looked at the men in the room again, carefully skipping over those who were being ‘serviced’ by the women. They were a scary group; anyone would have to be a complete fool to go up against them. Part of her hoped Dane would try and meet the grizzly end he unquestionably deserved. Her thoughts turned to her sister and nephew and sent out a silent prayer that they were as safe as her at the moment.

Then something occurred to her, “Do you guys see your families often?”

King scoffed and Digger put his arm around her drawing her close.

“We have nothing to do with our families. So we made our own,” he gestured to themselves and the rest of the men in the room.

He didn’t sound sad or disappointed, just content. Bianca couldn’t imagine never seeing Brandon and Maggie again, having no biological family to claim as your own.

“How did you three get together?” she asked.

“Ooo, I’ve never heard about this either,” heavily pregnant Nicole appeared and squeezed herself onto the bench seat opposite them, looking expectantly at her guys with amazing green eyes.

“We met in Juvie,” Bones said plainly.

“Come on, there’s definitely more to it than that.” Bianca urged while trying a pout, she really wanted to know.
