I flush and squeeze my thighs together, suddenly aroused. OMG, how does Caleb do this to me? One moment, we were discussing very serious issues pertaining to family size and cryobank restrictions. But with a few words, Caleb now has me hot and bothered, and feeling very needy. I look up, blushing, and go even more red when I see the handsome man smirking at me.

“There wasn’t actually a fire that day, was there?” he growls.

I shake my head. “It was a false alarm, so yeah, we didn’t really have to evacuate. I guess someone bumped into the fire alarm when they were putting samples in the fridge, and it caused all hell to break loose. For good reason of course,” I add hastily. “I wouldn’t want anyone to be trapped if there really were flames.”

But my gorgeous date merely throws his head back and laughs, revealing sparkling white teeth.

“Well, I owe whoever did that a thank you,” he growls, “because it brought me to you, sweetheart.”

With that, Caleb holds up his glass and I tap mine against his in a congratulatory cheers. Those blue eyes seize mine as we sip our respective drinks and a flutter makes my stomach go soft and squishy all at once. OMG, is this really happening? Am I on a date with the hottest man I’ve ever seen? Even more, Caleb seems to be attracted to me, and by the predatory smile he’s sending my way at the moment, I know this date is going to end with a bang.

I want to jump Addy’s bones, but decide to be a gentleman because we’ve already shot past that particular goal line by about a mile. Oh yeah. I took Addy’s mouth and ass the very first time we met, during an emergency too. After that, I think I can be respectful for a little while longer, even if all I want to do is to bend her over this table and ram deep into that clenching bottom once more.

As a result, after we finish dinner, I stand and hold my elbow out.

“Do you want to go for a stroll?” I ask. “It’s a beautiful night out.”

Addy nods and takes my arm with a smile, and it’s comfortable actually. It feels very right to walk arm in arm with her, like everything in the world has found its place, and my body relaxes unconsciously as we leave the food hall. What a gorgeous evening. It’s balmy and pleasant, the sky a light shade of purple.

“Downtown Millbrook is one of my favorite places to walk,” Addy murmurs as we stroll past gift shops selling items like luxury soaps and designer hats.

“Have you lived here your whole life?”

She nods and shoots me a sideways grin. “Born and raised. I don’t think I’d want to live anywhere else either because I love this town. It’s big enough that I don’t feel stifled, but small enough that everyone pretty much knows everyone, although I’m not sure others would consider that a plus.”

I chuckle.

“Well, we didn’t know each other until I came into Valley Cryo, so there must be folks you don’t know.”

Addy giggles. “I suppose that’s true. How about you? Did you grow up in the area? Or DC maybe?”

I shake my head.

“I’m a transplant, sort of. I’ve lived in Pennsylvania forever, but closer to Jersey, so Millbrook is new. I came for the university, of course.”

“Of course,” Addy murmurs, and we lapse into silence for a moment, appreciating the tranquility of the evening sky.

But then I turn and grin at the beautiful brunette.

“So you already know everything about me. Let’s talk about you instead. Tell me more about yourself.”

Addy throws her head back and giggles, and I have to say that I’m distracted by those big, bouncing breasts. But then I get myself in hand as Addy speaks. “There isn’t much for me to report,” she says in a rueful tone. “I’m definitely not the CEO of a billion-dollar company, and I’m not a Ph.D. candidate either.”

I squeeze her arm. “Hey, we have enough people in the world with useless degrees already. But what do you like to do in your free time? You can’t be working at Valley Cryo constantly.”

“No, I’m not,” she acknowledges. “But my life isn’t all that exciting because I pretty much just work and sleep.”

I shoot her a smile.

“Come on, there has to be something you enjoy doing,” I cajole. “Do you go out with friends? Party it up, Vegas style?”

She squeals. “OMG, that sounds horrible! I can’t imagine living a bling-bling life like that because it doesn’t even sound appealing to me. Maybe a weekend in Vegas would be fun, but definitely not more than that.”

I pat her hand because that’s exactly what I want to hear.

“My sentiments exactly,” I drawl. “Hell, if you said you were a Vegas fan girl, I’d end this date right now.”
