Eve burst out laughing as Grim pressed a kiss to her swollen stomach. This was their fourth child, another girl. They already had two boys and one girl. Grim wasn’t comfortable with having daughters, as he had already threatened to sharpen his knives and prepare his guns. According to him, he knew what men were thinking and feeling, and he was going to make sure nothing with a dick approached their girls.
Eve knew it was going to be an exciting life, especially when their baby girls grew up. As for their sons, he was completely the opposite, and was looking forward to them finding wives.
“Your wife is up here and you just insulted her.”
Grim got to his feet and wrapped his arms around her. “I know, but I also wanted to prepare you. I intend to make love to you and I don’t care if they scream for Mommy or Daddy, they are not stopping me.”
She couldn’t help but smile. It was impossible not to. Their kids had stopped them many a time with one complaint or another. Eve loved it and she knew, deep in her heart, that Grim did too.
Over the past ten years, she had been able to make peace with who her husband was and what he did for a living. He had also started to reveal the truth about his past—the fact he grew up in a great deal of pain, where he had to fight for everything. When she was pregnant with their first son, Grim had admitted to her that he didn’t know how to be a father. He’d never known what one was like.
She knew he’d be a great father. All she told him to do, was to be the father he wanted for himself.
The last ten years had gone by in a dream, and she knew the next fifty would go by even faster, but that didn’t matter.
“I love you, baby,” he said.
“And I love you.”
Nothing would tear them apart, and they were stronger than ever.
The End
