Lilly steps forward to touch his shoulder, but he shrugs her off like her touch means nothing. Kenzo steps out the door, and I go to follow, but Kyson grabs my hand.

“I wouldn’t go far,” he says in a low tone.

I look to Lilly while Kyson has a hold of me. “You can have him,” I tell her.

Kyson goes to pull me back, but I manage to slip from his grip and hurry out before he can grab me again. When I get outside, I see a motorcycle in the driveway. Kenzo holds out a helmet, and I remember I’m in a skirt.

Fuck it!

Running over, I grab it, put it on, and climb onto the bike. I swear I hear Kenzo chuckle, but I can’t be sure. As he pulls onto the street, I glance back to see Kyson standing there, and he’s furious.

“Where are we?” I ask.

“It’s a club,” he replies.

“What type of club?” Looking at the building, it doesn’t have any signs or give any clues, and there don’t seem to be people coming and going.

“A sex club.” I stop in my tracks, and Kenzo keeps walking. As he steps up to the door, it swings open, and a man is standing there. They seem friendly, greeting each other with a handshake and a smile. Then they both turn their attention to me.

“You can come in with me. I have to collect some shit,” Kenzo says.

The door opens again, and a woman pops out. She has her two-toned hair—blonde on top and brown tips below—tied back, and she looks at the men before her eyes shift to mine before she says, “You bring company for a change, Kenzo?” Then she addresses me, “Come in, come in.” She waves me over, and I look to Kenzo, who nods. I step toward her as she holds the door open. “Kenzo never brings anyone but his brothers,” she says, letting me enter ahead of her.

“Is this really a sex club? I ask her.

“Yup. One that specializes in desires.” She winks. “I’m Avani, and you don’t look like the type who likes blood play.” Her eyes run up and down me. “I run this place. Grayson, the man talking to Kenzo, is the boss. Well, he pays for everything. I’m really the boss around here.” She chuckles, and her eyes light with mischief.

“Definitely not into blood,” I reply.

“Yeah, didn’t think so.” She eyes me again. “We aren’t open, but I can show you around.” I shake my head. “You aren’t interested in the red room?” she questions.

“Red room?” She points to a red ribbon on the counter.

“Colors for each room. Red is the blood room… Kenzo’s favorite,” she explains.

“Yeah, I can see that,” I say.

Avani looks at me like she wants to say more but doesn’t.

“I’m Kalilah. I’m staying with Kyson.”

“That makes more sense. I can see you with Kyson.” She glances to the door where Kenzo is standing and still in conversation with the owner of the club.

“What do you mean by that?” I ask.

She leans over and grabs my wrist, turns it over, and puts it back down. “No cuts.”

“Yeah, like I said, I’m not into blood play, but I’ve seen ways to hide the evidence of it,” I reply, remembering how Kenzo cut himself near his groin.

“I’d bet my designer bag collection I know exactly whose hidden cuts you have seen.” She wiggles her brows. “I’d heard stories the Hunter twins like to share. Gosh, I’d love to know more.” Avani leans in like I’m about to give her all the dirty details.

“Avani,” someone growls, and I turn to Grayson. He has several tattoos—not like Kenzo, who is almost covered in ink—but Grayson’s are more spaced out.

“I was being nice,” Avani says.

“Yeah, you don’t know how to be.”

She rolls her eyes.

“It’s time to go,” Kenzo says, sliding something into his pocket.

“You don’t want to show me the red room?” I ask.

Everyone goes deathly silent.

Kenzo’s eyes flare at my question, but he remains quiet like he isn’t sure what to say, but I can see the lust that sneaks into his eyes at my words.

Then someone’s phone starts buzzing, and we all look at Kenzo.

“Only four people have my number. One of them is standing here. Any guess who this is?” Kenzo says, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his phone. His brother’s name flashes on the screen, and he passes it to me. I take it and scrunch my nose, then close my eyes and sigh.

“Trouble in paradise?” Avani asks.

“Avani,” Grayson growls.

Why do I get the feeling he has to rein her in—like a lot?

“Answer it. He’ll already be pissed,” Kenzo adds.

Dammit! I put the phone to my ear, and Kyson’s voice demands from the other end, “Bring. Her. Back.”

“Why?” I ask. There are three sets of eyes watching me intently. Most likely, they can hear everything Kyson is saying because he’s loud.
