“Hudson,” I pant. I feel his hand on my thigh, and a soft moan escapes my throat.

“So fucking sexy,” he purrs.

“I’m in a thin paper gown on an exam table,” I half argue as his lips trail down my neck.

“You are the mother of my son. I hate that I missed your pregnancy, but I promise you, baby, I’ll be here for all the rest of them,” he says, nipping at my ear.

His hand slides between my thighs, and instantly his thumb finds my clit, which causes me to squeeze my thighs together, trapping his hand.

“I’m going to make you come, and then we’re getting the fuck out of here. We’re going to drop Hayes off with Mom and go to my place because it’s closer, and I’m going to ravish you. Every fucking inch of you. Now, the faster you soak my hand, the faster we get out of here.”

I don’t bother fighting him. His hands on me feel too good, and his plan… I’m on board. One-hundred-and-fifty-thousand-percent, I’m behind him. “We can wait until we get there.”

“No,” he growls. “Now.” His heated stare has me closing my mouth and giving him a slow nod. His thumb makes lazy circles, and my body starts to respond. My heart rate picks up, and there is a delicious ache between my thighs. He leans over and kisses me. It’s hungry and wild, and it ignites my desire. My body grows tight, and I know I’m close.

Grabbing him by the shoulders, I hold him to me, kissing him back with as much passion and desire as he’s giving me. I moan into his mouth as my orgasm rushes through my veins. It’s over as soon as it starts, and it does nothing to satisfy my need for him.

I watch as he places his thumb in his mouth and sucks greedily. “Get dressed, baby. We have plans.”

“Yeah, lunch,” I tease.

“I’ll feed you. I promise, but if I don’t get inside you soon, I’m going to lose my damn mind.”

He steps back from the exam table. I watch as he peers into Hayes’s car seat to check on him, and my heart melts. He’s such a good daddy. Satisfied that our boy isn’t traumatized, he grabs my clothes and helps me get dressed. He takes his time running his hands all over my body.

“They’re going to wonder what’s going on in here,” I tell him as he sucks a tight nipple into his mouth.

“I have no problem telling them. It’s been months without you, and I couldn’t wait for a second longer.”

“That’s the real reason you came with me today, isn’t’ it? You had this planned.”

“No. I swear to you, this wasn’t the plan, but fuck if I’m not glad it turned out this way.”

He turns away from me, but I catch him by the arm before he can. I place both of my hands on his cheeks and make sure I have his full attention. “I wish I knew of a word to describe how you make me feel. You not only make me feel loved but cherished, wanted, and desired. You make me feel everything, Hudson. There isn’t a part of me that’s not yours. There isn’t a part of my heart or my soul that doesn’t belong to you. I love you.”

“Fuck, Riles.” He kisses me. It’s chaste compared to what we just shared but no less intense. “I’m going to marry you,” he says. He’s not asking.

“I know.”

He jerks back in surprise. I smile and shrug as I push back on his chest and hop off the table to slip into my shoes.

“Hayes, buddy, did you hear that? I need you to be on my side when Mommy forgets what she just agreed to.”

“Come on, funny man. Let’s get out of here.”

He lifts Hayes, grabs the diaper bag, and we exit the room. I feel as though everyone knows what just happened in that exam room, but none of the staff seem to pay any attention to us. The receptionist waves as we pass by, and that’s it.

“Drive-thru, okay?” Hudson asks once we’re in his truck.

“How about we eat after?”

“Good plan, baby.” He backs out of the spot, and we head toward his parents’ place.

CHAPTER 26

Hudson

Thankfully, when I asked Riley to stay in the truck and that I would make quick work of taking Hayes into Mom, she didn’t argue. Instead, she unbuckled her seat belt, climbed into the seat on her knees, and leaned over into the back seat to kiss him goodbye. You can bet your ass my lips got in on the action as well.

I’m addicted to her.

When I climb back into the truck, I don’t look at her. I don’t even speak to her for the fear that I’ll rip her clothes off right here in my parents’ driveway. Instead, I keep my focus on driving the short distance to my place, which is about half a mile away from my parents on the same piece of land.
