I walk back into the bedroom and get into bed. I lie down and close my eyes, just to rest them for a minute, and the next thing I know I'm blinking them awake and I'm in Bennett's arms. My head in his neck and I can't help but breathe him in. I look to see if any light is coming in from the kitchen but all I see is darkness. I think about getting up and moving away from him but he just pulls me in closer. "Go to sleep, Presley," he mumbles and for the first time I go back to sleep.

"Good morning." I feel a kiss on my neck. "I have to head out to work," he says, "but I didn't want to sneak out and make you worry about me." I stretch, laughing at his comment. "See you later." He kisses my lips. "There is water, ginger ale, and ginger tea on the bedside table."

I open my eyes and see him still there looking over me. "Bye," I say, pushing him away. "Go, I'll be fine."

"You'll call me?" he asks me, walking backward toward the door and for the first time I don't want him to go. I want him to stay, it's also the first time I slept the whole night without one foot out the door.

"No," I tell him as he turns and walks out of the bedroom laughing.

"See you tonight, gorgeous" is the last thing he says before walking out the door and slamming the door behind him.

"Or not," I say, grabbing the ginger tea from the tray beside my bed. I take a sip of the tea and walk over to the walk-in closet, grabbing a nice white skirt with green and light pink leaves with a button-up sleeveless white cotton shirt. The strappy nude heels complete the outfit, and when I walk into the office forty-five minutes later, I'm met with a huge straw basket that sits on the table in my office.

I walk over and look inside seeing all the stuff that I have at home. "Morning." Clarabella sticks her head in. "Your man just dropped that off and told me to make sure that you are okay."

"I don't have a man," I inform her. "I can take care of myself."

"Sure you can." She laughs and I ignore her. I also ignore the fact that during the day the only thing that makes me feel better are the saltines and the ginger tea. Luckily, I have no appointments for the day and Shelby works from home and Clarabella took off at lunch. I'm about to call it a day when my phone rings and I see it’s Bennett.

"Hello," I answer before I can even think about it.

"Gorgeous, you didn't text me," he huffs and his voice goes soft. "How are you feeling?"

"Great," I say, lying a bit. I did get queasy before.

"Good, when are you leaving work?" he asks me and I can hear that he's doing something.

"Now.” I get up, grabbing my keys and purse.

"Perfect timing," he says. "Stop by my place on the way home."

"I don't know what the hell is wrong with me but I had this sudden need to nap," I tell him. "So I was going to go home and get into bed."

"You have to eat," he reminds me. "So you might as well just come here and then you can nap."

"Will you leave me alone?” I huff, getting into my car. "I'll be there in ten."

"See you soon, gorgeous," he says, disconnecting.

When I park my car, I'm pissed that I came here instead of just going home. I walk up the steps and I'm about to knock on the door when it's swung open and he stands there in his dress pants and his baby-blue button-up shirt rolled up at the sleeves. "Hey, gorgeous." He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me in for a kiss. His musky cologne always does me in. "You look amazing." I don't have time to say anything else because he bends his head and kisses my lips. My tongue comes out and slides into his mouth and I swear his kisses leave me breathless. "I could get used to this," he says, kissing my neck. "But you have to eat." He grabs my hand and pulls me into the kitchen and I'm shocked.

"What is all this?" I ask of the take-out trays that fill the whole island.

"I didn't know how you would be feeling tonight," he says, standing behind me with his hands on my hips. "So I went ahead and had all of your favorite food prepared."

I look over at everything that I love from blueberry muffins to maple-glazed salmon. "Oh my God," I say, shaking my head and looking over my shoulder at him. His black hair looks like he was nervously running his hand through it, his brown eyes look like home. I turn in his arms and wrap my arms around his neck. "I'm not saying that I'm not hungry." I kiss under his chin, loving his five o'clock shadow. "But I think I'm hungry for something else." I nip under his jaw. "Something meatier." I lick his jaw as my body tingles with anticipation. His hands grip my hips harder than before. "Something that is more of a muscle." Sex with Bennett is never dull and I have to say neither of us hold back when it comes to this. If I want something, I have no problem telling him, just like if he wants me to suck his cock or ride him, he will come right out and say it. I can't tell you the number of times we would be on the couch and all I would have to say is I'm horny and we'd be naked and his head would be buried between my legs.
