“Again? Already?”

“You got a problem with that?”

“Hell, no, but here’s hoping in a few years’ time, you’ll be just as insatiable.”

“I intend to be.” He took her lips as he found his way inside her.

She loved it, loved him, and didn’t want this feeling to ever end.

Epilogue One

Five years later

“What do you think?” Blake asked, flicking the keys between his fingers.

“This is insane. Six bedrooms?” Leah ran her hands across the sofa cushions.

“I can tell them no and to keep looking.”

“I love it, and you know you do. You’re closer to the grounds so you can go and play football,” she said.

Blake laughed as she came toward him. He knew what she had planned and had already braced himself to take her weight as she jumped into his arms. “I love how after all this time, you still don’t have the first clue about football.”

“I have a clue about you, and what you like to eat and do right after winning a game.”

“You mean have a big, giant burger and then making love to my wife?” he asked, running his hands down to her curvy ass.

The crowds went wild for him, especially as his story had done the rounds the moment he got drafted.

He had to thank John for giving them all the sordid details. How he bullied his woman and then realized what a mistake he was making until he finally got his head out of his ass and asked her to marry him.

They loved it when he was with Leah. None of what they did was for the camera. His love for her was stronger than ever.

In fact, after they’d graduated and had agreed to live with each other through college, his love for her had made him realize he’d only ever had a crush before, whereas now there were no words for exactly how he felt about her. He loved her more than anything.

“So, this house is a yes?”

“Yes, it’s a big, fat yes.”

“Good, because I already agreed we’d take it.”

She wrapped her legs around his waist. “You know this means we’re going to have to have sex in every single room, right? It’s going to take us a lot longer than our old apartment.”

He chuckled. “But I loved that place.”

“Me too.” He didn’t have the patience to go upstairs, and so he carried her toward the sofa, intent on making love to her well into the night.

Epilogue Two

Ten years later

Leah put a hand to her pregnant stomach, watching her husband playing with their children. The yard was full of all their friends and family, celebrating his team’s win. There was a time she’d tried to understand football, but Blake had said the one thing he loved most was when he was with her and he was away from work.

She held a tray of drinks and walked out to the yard, smiling at every person who came to get a drink.

“Nope, nope, nope. I told you, no heavy lifting.”

This was her fourth pregnancy, but Blake didn’t like her lifting anything other than her ass off the sofa.

He took the tray and handed it off to his father. Then he pulled her in close, his arms wrapping around her.

“Are you trying to make me feel bad?” she asked. “Your hands don’t even touch.”

“We have this every single time,” he said. “You don’t look like a whale, no matter what you say.” He tilted her head back, kissing her lips. “How are you feeling? Really?”

“I’m feeling a little tired, but other than that, I’m fine.” She sighed. “You do need to stop worrying.”

“I will never stop worrying about you. I love you, so fucking much.” He kissed the top of her head. “You know, I don’t care if I didn’t make it, baby. You know that. So long as I have you.”

Leah smiled, resting her head against his chest. His team had wanted to sell him, which would have uprooted them out of the home. Blake had refused and it had caused a stir in the community, but it had also made the fans love him even more. He wouldn’t leave his team behind and was determined to get them to win. She loved that about him.

She loved that he made her feel so special.

“I love you,” she said.

“And I love you. I love our family, and Leah, there’s nowhere else in the world I’d rather be than by your side.”

Final Epilogue

Twenty years later

Leah tried to stifle a yawn and Blake chuckled, sipping on his wine. The fire crackled in the distance. The only light in the room came from the flames. His wife’s leg was flung over his, holding him down on the sofa.

Their house was silent, the first time in nearly thirty years. He smiled, thinking about the journey to drop off his youngest daughter at college. She was a ballbuster, like her mother.
