“You should leave!” I wrapped my arms around myself as I was now very cold where just a few seconds ago it was like standing next to an inferno. “You know that’s not going to happen. Come here!” He held his hand out. I shook my head and took a step back even as my body wanted to run and jump.

I’m going to have to have a talk with my nymph about danger and self-preservation. But not now! now I need all my faculties about me to deal with the very dangerous being in my room. He stalked me until my knees hit the bed behind me and I had nowhere to go but down.

I fell back across the bed and stared up at him as he stood there looking down at me. More like ate me with his eyes. I never really knew what that meant until now. I could almost feel his touch, like a live thing, his hands and mouth on me…

“Did you know that your egg dropped?”

“What?” I sat bolt upright bringing my face very close to what looked like an unnaturally long male member or a baby python behind the zipper of his silk woven slacks.

My slutty nymph mind got to wondering just how something like that would work. I know for damn sure that there’s nowhere on my damn body that that thing would fit. But still, I couldn’t look away from it. It moved as if coming awake and I snapped out of it.

Oh good heavens Natalia don’t look there. The smirk on his face when my eyes travelled up his body to reach his told me that he knew exactly what I’d been ogling. “How do you know about my egg?” I didn’t like the way he ignored my question and just watched me knowingly.

“And how did you do this? Was it really in the dream I saw?” I covered the mark with a frown. His unblinking stare was making me twitchy. I knew he was reading me, all of me.

“Yes, and no!” I looked up at him quizzically.

“Yes it happened in the dream, but I was in bed with you at the time.” I snorted at that one, there’s no way he was…

“So it was you that my sisters felt. How?” I was at a loss for words. For one, I’d made up my mind that there’s no way I was doing this, the odds were stacked too high against me. The fact that I was left all alone to make the decision only compounded my fear.

Nothing about this whole situation felt right and I still don’t know what to think about my parents’ disappearing act. I can’t find them anywhere in the universe which is not at all normal.

“What did you do with my parents?” His eyes didn’t blink, his pupils just rolled or flashed or whatever it is that his kind does. “What makes you think I did something to your parents?”

“I can’t find them.”

He came closer again blocking me in from moving.

I evaded his touch when he reached his hand out towards my cheek and heard his deep sigh. “We don’t have a lot of time sweetheart. I wanted to give you more time, at least another few days, but things have changed.”

“If we wait any longer it’ll only get worst.” I was already shaking my head before he could finish his sentence. “I know how this works and I don’t have to…”

“Do you really think I’d let you get away from me?”

The way he said those words just as his fingers caressed my cheek made me uneasy, but not in the way that you’d think when facing danger. I got to my feet, which caused him to step back out of the way to give me room. I was trying to avoid feeling at a disadvantage with him towering over me but it was the wrong move.

No sooner had I gotten to my feet than he was there, invading my space again. When he clasped my nape and pulled me towards him I felt panic rise like a tidal wave inside me. He really isn’t planning to give me any more time is he? Was he planning on consummating…?

My thoughts crumbled into dust as his thumb caressed the flesh beneath the mark he’d left on me. My eyes closed in surreal bliss and I felt myself slowly drifting. For a split second my mind was filled with nothing but him and a warmth so sublime enraptured my limbs and made its way around my heart and up to my mind.

Just as quickly there was a sound like a door slamming shut somewhere and the visions in my head changed. I barely bit back the scream that threatened to escape as the bloody macabre sight unfolded in my mind’s eye. Almost as if someone were pulling back a curtain in my mind, I saw myself covered in blood, my blood, and him, looking feral as he stood over me. Death!
