“What’s this?” he whispers when I grind my hips in a desperate attempt to work him inside. I can’t help it. This is pure instinct driving me.

“Don’t do that,” I whimper when he goes still, refusing to enter.

“Don’t do what? I told you, you are allowed to come when I say you are, which means I claim this pussy when I’m damn well ready to.”

Only once I go still does he move his hips, and we both groan when he sinks in slowly, excruciatingly so. I gasp, going still, my attention tightening until there’s nothing in the whole world but this. But him, filling me inch by inch, holding his breath while his heart races against my chest.

“Little wolf thinks she has any say,” he whispers once he’s filled me completely, and we’re locked together. “Silly little wolf. This is what happens to silly little wolves. They have to wait to get what they want.”

“I hate you.”

“I know.” He grins as he pulls back, then thrusts sharply. I grit my teeth, sucking in a surprised breath. He makes me do it again and again, our eyes locked, silently daring each other to look away. Another game. There’s always a game.

Like the game where he drives me crazy, pushing me to the edge—then going stiff, still, not bothering to hide his twisted glee when I can’t help whining my frustration. “What?” I grit out. “Not able to make me come, so you’re pretending it’s deliberate?”

“Don’t play those mind games with me, or this ends now. I’ll happily jerk off.”

“Why do I feel like that’s not true?”

His lip lifts a heartbeat before he slams upward again, and I could weep with relief. My entire body is throbbing, hanging in limbo, my clit painfully swollen. I know better than to grind it against him in hopes of relief. He’ll only stop just before I come. That would kill me.

“Make me come.” I’m not begging anymore. I’m tearing at his shirt, sliding my hands under it, and raking my nails over his back. “Make me come, you bastard. Now.”

He shudders—then covers my mouth with his, our tongues fighting while his hips work, his dick slamming into me, and this time, he’s not stopping. He’s moving faster. Harder. Grunting into my mouth because he’s getting close, too. He can’t stop any more than I can.

He breaks the kiss long enough to demand one more time. “Who do you belong to, little wolf?”

I’d say anything. “You!”

He growls in satisfaction, but I don’t care because he delivers one last, deep thrust.

And it finally happens. I finally explode.

Only it doesn’t happen all at once. It stretches on and on until tears fill my eyes, and my voice goes hoarse, but I’m still coming, still in the throes of bliss, even while Wilde pulls out to come on my thigh.

When it’s over, I’m frozen, still wrapped up in him. Damn it. I gave him what he wanted. He won.

He disentangles himself from me, his breath coming heavy. “You’ll stay with me from now on,” he casually announces.

“Will I?” Even now, knowing he managed to break me, I can’t simply accept his orders.

“You belong to me now.” He finishes straightening himself out before walking to the door, as I’m left slumped against the wall. “And I’ll kill anyone who tries to take you from me.”

With one final look over his shoulder before stepping into the hall, he adds, “Even if I have to kill you to make sure no one else has you.”

WILDE

“You’re doing a great job.” Lili bends over one of the desks where a wolf pup struggles with writing his name. “Take your time, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that all you’re doing is practicing. And it’s okay to make mistakes. Because you’re learning, right?”

The pup looks up at her with plain adoration written all over his face. Something tells me he just found his first love, even if she’s much too old for him. “Right.” Then he goes back to his work with renewed determination, the tip of his tongue sticking out from the corner of his mouth. She musses his hair, wearing a fond smile as she straightens up and moves on to the next pup.

It wasn’t my idea for her to help out with the orphans. As far as I’m concerned, she could and should stay in the house, reading and watching TV and whatever else she likes to do in her spare time. From now on, all of her time is spare time. She doesn’t have to worry about a thing.

Of course, she has to be stubborn about it. “I don’t want to be useless. I always had a job to do in my pack, even if it was something as simple as helping the healers keep track of their herbs or sitting with the pups while the adults were out on a run. I never sat around doing my nails.”
