“Yeah, we can watch movies and chill. You know, get to know each other better,” Jeremy adds, making me even more certain that they’re the creepiest guys in New Hampshire.

Sherry slaps the boy with the invoice. “Leave her alone. She doesn’t want you.”

“How do you know? She might want both of us. We’ve had that happen before you know. The King's housekeeper used to love getting naked and doing all sorts of things with us. What about you, Samantha? Want to fuck our brains out?” the boy laughs.

His sick little joke ends abruptly when Stephen steps into the room.

“What did you just say to her?” Stephen growls.

“We didn’t see you there, Mr. Stockton. It was a joke. We always fool around with the kitchen staff. We didn’t mean anything.”

“Fool around?”

“I mean joke around. That’s what I mean.”

“Get out of my house,” Stephen says.

The boys drop their crates and make a beeline for the backdoor. Stephen follows them and points a finger at them. “Tell your boss that you’re not allowed here anymore. If he needs to verify that, he can call me.”

“But…this is our route. If we can’t deliver to you, he might fire us,” Shane blurts out.

Stephen slams the door in his face, turns to me with fire in his eyes, and grabs me by the arm, taking me to my quarters. He opens the door and pulls me inside, pressing me against the wall.

“Did they touch you?” He looks me up and down.

“No. They were just being jerks. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me.”

“It’s the last time someone ever touches you against your will. I will break the hand of anyone who does.”

I cringe at the thought of him being angry with me. Tears burst from my eyes and flow down my cheeks. “I’m sorry. I didn’t do anything wrong but I’m sorry.”

He brushes the tears from my face with the side of his hand. “You didn’t do anything wrong. They did. They don’t get to talk to you like that. Nobody does. I won’t stand for it, you hear me?”

Stephen snaps his eyes shut and breathes slowly. “Look, there are things you don’t know about me. I was raised to take what I wanted by whatever force was necessary. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. I’ve hurt people…badly hurt people. It’s taken a long time and a lot of work to control my propensity toward anger, but when it comes to you, all bets are off. I want to beat those kids bloody right now, do you understand?”

“Yes, but…you aren’t angry at me, right?”

“Jesus Christ, little girl. No, I’m not angry with you. I’m losing my fucking mind over you.”

He looks deeply into my eyes, takes my face in his hands, and kisses me. It’s a deep, long, passionate kiss that makes my knees go weak. “I don’t want another man to even look at you.” He kisses my face and neck, taking my hands and holding them down at my sides as he presses his body against me. His tongue glides between my lips and I welcome it.

Bang, bang, bang!

“Is she coming back out? I need help with this meat,” Sherry calls from outside the door.

Stephen shakes his head. “She’ll meet you in the freezer.”

“Yeah, I should go and help her,” I whisper, mildly surprised I can still form words.

“You’ll go when I say so.”

He lifts me off my feet, pinning me against the wall. His hands travel the length of my body, stroking, squeezing, and making me feel like I want to tear off my clothes and beg him to take me. He rubs his cock against me, igniting a flame between my legs that burns all the way to my head. I’m woozy. I think they call it love drunk.

I feel a sense of utter anguish when he finally releases me. I don’t want him to stop. As frightened and inexperienced as I am, I want him to have his way with me.

He rests his hand on my cheek and stares into my eyes. I can’t move. I can’t even blink. It’s like he’s cast a spell on me and I don't want it to be broken. Then, the corner of his mouth lifts. It’s dangerous, lustful, and exactly the way I want him to look at me.

Without a word, he leaves the room, closing the door behind him, and I’m grateful to have a moment to compose myself. My legs are shaking so badly that I don’t think I can take a step without falling over.

Reality smacks me like a cold wind against my face. Stephen Stockton, the man of the house and who my father sold me to, just kissed me. This handsome, wealthy, sophisticated man wants me. It feels too good to be true and I’m scared that it’s all just a horrible trick at my expense.
