It would be his greatest pleasure to show Bailey how not nice he could be in bed...and she would fucking love it that he was not.

Are You there, God?

See you at the match.

~ S

The other half of the bed is already empty when I wake up, and a weird little ache squeezes my heart when I see Stelios' handwritten note on the bedside table.

It's another keepsake to cherish...in case things don't work out.

Just one day left, B.

The words echo endlessly in my mind as I take my shower and change into another one of those little black dresses that makes me look a lot taller than I really am.

"Good morning, Mrs. Diamandis."

"Morning, guys."

His staff used to be like robots in flesh, but I've been a properly bad influence around them in the past few months, and they've all learned to smile and let loose since then.

The rest of Stelios' place has also undergone a complete makeover, and just looking around has me feeling rather nostalgic. His home used to be a lot like Theía's, but everything now looks more like a grander version of my old bedroom.

Will he keep it this way if we have a divorce...or will he want the whole place scrubbed free of my presence?

Stop being so morbid, B!

Stelios' chauffeur already has the car running when I step out of the house, and my lips curve in a wry smile when I hear Eddie reporting to my husband as he drives me to the stadium.

Obsessive as always...and Lord help me, but I love that about him.

I know that I'm lucky as it is, being married to the man I love.

But I just can't help wanting more, you know?

I want him to be in love with me, too, and that's why I still feel so darn torn, when I think of what tomorrow would bring.

It's bad enough that I already think of him all the time when we haven't even kissed, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be much more worse once I know what it feels like to be his.

What now, God? Please give me a clue!

Eddie drops me off at the stadium's VIP entrance, and I determinedly push all worries aside when I see Tahey waving at me from the front row.

Today is Sheena's day, and I owe it to the younger girl to give her my full support...especially since she was obviously going to lose this match.

Again.

"What did I miss?"

Stelios suddenly shows up at my side, and I glower at him. "Is it really that fun giving me a heart attack?"

"I think the word you're looking for is 'educational'."

"Ha!"

"It's my job as your husband to keep you on your toes and help you develop quick reflexes during emergencies."

"Double ha!"

His lips curve in a smile so darn sexy, it has my toes curling hard while my heart goes bang, bang, bang against my chest.

"You're the only woman who's ever gotten pissed with me—-"

"Thrilled to hear that," I pipe in.

"—-and I like it."

Huh?

"You look exquisitely hot when you're mad, wife."

My jaw absolutely drops, and all I can do is stammer his name out as my cheeks burn red in embarrassment. He's never come on to me like that before. Not once. Not ever!

"You're blushing."

It's that diabolically sweet voice of his again, but ironically, it's also the seductiveness of the sound that works like a bucket of ice-cold water being dunked over my head.

Well, there's my answer then.

I know I can't leave him if I want to keep the peace, but since I also know it will kill me bit by bit if I stay married to a man who can never return my feelings—-

Oooooow!

The sight of Sheena getting beaten up immediately distracts me from my thoughts, and it's only at the end of the match that I remember I still have my own blurry future to solve.

Crap!

I take a peek at Stelios, and I'm startled to find him staring at me. "What?" Do I have something on my face? Is my hair too messy? Has he finally realized there's no way I'm going to be like my aunt, and that I can only grow older but not prettier?

Stelios arches a brow at me. "Am I not allowed to stare at my wife?"

Well, of course he's allowed to, but what I don't get is 'why'. It's not like he's ever cared to stare at me in the past, and when I think of how he's also never tried to hit on me the way he had earlier—-

"Stelios?"

I know this is a really bad idea since I don't even have a plan in place—-

"Mm?"

But after having him flirt with me even though I know it's not because he finds me attractive—-

"I want a divorce."

She's dead.

I hold my breath as I wait for Stelios to answer, but what I hear instead is his phone ringing, and my husband tersely telling me it's Astro calling him.
