The men make their way upstairs as I wait for Vivienne. When she jumps back into the boat, she kisses my lips. “I’m sorry for whatever is going to happen,” she mumbles, walking up the stairs toward everyone. I follow her up as the guys stand near the captain’s chair while the ladies just lounge.

I start the boat and make my way out toward the ocean; I’m waiting for someone to ask me a question. I take them for a tour of the island, pointing out things. The girls now have made their way down to the sun pads in the front, where we had sex last night.

Every single time one of them says something, I’m expecting it to be about the game. I’m expecting her father to ask me what happened. I’m expecting Wilson to bring it up. I literally have my heart beating a mile a minute for a good straight hour.

They talk about everything except the game, and only after the first hour do I let go a bit. We anchor down for lunch, and I let go a bit more each time. The only questions they have are about the boat. Then they ask how far I’ve taken it. We spend the day on the water with her family, and when the sun goes down, I finally make it back to the dock.

“Beatrice is tuckered out,” Vivienne observes, coming to me as I drive us back. The guys are now sitting in the back of the boat. She steps closer to me. “You okay?”

I nod my head. “Yeah, I thought for sure they would ask me questions,” I answer her honestly. “But it’s like I was just one of them.”

“You mean a human,” she jokes, and I lean in and kiss her lips, and then I fly back.

“Sorry, I shouldn’t have done that,” I apologize. “Anyone could have seen.”

“I’m going to go out on a limb and say my family knows we’ve spent the night together,” she states, and my eyes go even bigger.

“Why do you say that?” I ask, pulling into our row. “There are four bedrooms on this boat.”

“Well, it could be when Franny asked if we slept together, and I told her that I don’t kiss and tell,” she starts, “and then she said it probably wasn’t good. So I had to do it for your honor.” I laugh at her as she kisses me one more time before walking off toward the back. Wilson gets off with her. Dylan and Michael both throw the ropes, arguing about who threw it better.

“Thank you,” Matthew says when I turn the boat off, “for taking us out today.”

“Anytime,” I say to him, and he smirks.

“I’ll be around,” he informs me as he gets off the boat. It takes about twenty minutes for them to leave. Beatrice and Vivienne walk them out while I hook the water and electricity up.

I turn my head, seeing her walk to me, and my chest gets tight for a whole different reason. She has something in her hand as she walks to me. “They all gone?” I ask her when she gets closer.

“Yup,” she confirms, “finally.”

She hands me the box that is in her hand. “This was delivered today,” she says, and I look at her, confused.

“What is it?” I ask, looking down and seeing that it’s addressed to her.

“You are going to have to open it to find out.” She smirks at me. I walk onto the boat and into the galley, grabbing a knife and slicing through the tape. I open the flaps and gasp. “What is this?” I look at her.

“Those are top secret,” she whispers, leaning against the counter. “They are my next five books.”

My hands shake as I pick up the books. “Holy shit!” I exclaim as I look at the unseen covers and books. “Oh my God.” I turn them over to look at the back and read the blurbs.

“Looks like I’ve been replaced,” she gripes to Beatrice. “Fucking Lucinda.”

CHAPTER 25

VIVIENNE

The alarm goes off at the same time he slides into me. “Hmm,” I murmur as he slowly fucks me from behind. One hand plays with my nipple, and my eyes are still closed as he fucks me. “Yes,” I pant out when I’m coming. He grunts out right after me.

Kissing my shoulder, he whispers, “Good morning.”

“Morning.” I lean back and turn off the alarm. I’m about to ask him if we are really getting up when Beatrice jumps on the bed, coming to us and sniffing us.

“Morning,” I greet her as she lies on her side before rolling on her back, wanting me to scratch her belly. “Does someone want to go out?” I ask, feeling Xavier get out of bed. I watch him walk to the bathroom, and I want him again. “He’s all that and a bag of chips,” I share with Beatrice.
