In the past I'd let a lot slide, I'd overlooked a lot of her sick behavior, but now with Kat in the picture I couldn't take any chances, I have to keep my eyes open to see that she stayed safe, that shouldn't be so hard since I planned on keeping her close.

She hadn't even had a chance to drive her new car because I drove her to work, though she damn near had a heart attack when I took her into my garage and showed it to her.

I'd cut her off at the pass before she could start another one of her fucked up arguments about me giving her expensive things, I wondered when women had stopped valuing themselves, seriously.

It's been two days since the mall incident and since then I must've fielded fifty calls from James. When I said I was going to do something I didn't fuck around.

So far he'd only lost two building contracts but I intended to do even more, our families have always worked together because of some antiquated friendship that went back generations, I'd be fucked if mine and Katarina's kids were going to be stuck doing business with the offspring of these two sick fucks though, as far as I'm concerned all bets were off when she put her hands on a future Lyon.

Chapter 18

My third target behind bars had no idea what was about to befall him. I'd decided not to hit all three targets at once lest it draw suspicion, this way with only two of the players hit in what seemed like separate incidences, no one was the wiser.

Before this thing with Angel and that bitch I was on track to head to Arizona and take care of the one who thought he got away because of mommy and daddy's money, now I might have to put that shit off because I didn't want to be too far away if she or her brother tried some shit with my girl.

The guys had found the videos on YouTube and had somehow come up with a compilation which they watched constantly to Kat's embarrassment.

Someone had nailed gold sparring gloves to the office door.

We were both miserable as fuck because we couldn't fuck, no matter how much she whined and bitched I wouldn't relent, there was no way I was going to risk hurting her, besides it was just a few more days.

This morning she'd driven her little sports car for the first time, she was too damn cute behind the wheel but I missed having her clinging to my back.

Since her and Carol's shopping trip had been cut short, I'd ran her into a different mall to pick up some things, which I ended up doing myself. If I hadn't she would've ended up in jeans and tees, I have nothing against that shit, especially when she was on the back of my bike, but I had my own ideas of what I wanted to see her in. Fuck you, don't judge me, my woman, my rules, who else is she dressing to please anyway?

The office is crazy since word of the Grimaldi deal leaked, now everyone and their mother wanted a custom built Lyon bike.

I arranged it so one of us were always near the office at all times to keep an eye on Kat, building bikes is a noisy business and I didn't want her to need me and I not be able to hear her over the noise.

Not that I thought either one of those two fucks would be dumb enough to come here on my turf to start shit, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I'd thought she was perfectly safe going to the mall and look what happened.

At about lunch time the thundercloud that is my mother descended on us, breathing fire and threatening mayhem.

"What's this I hear about Katarina being involved in a brawl in the mall and why did I have to hear about it from someone else?"

"Mom it's taken care of, everything's okay now."

"Well what happened and who do I have to kill?"

"Would you take it easy, everything's fine, no one's hurt, Kat's perfectly fine as you can see and we're about to go out for lunch."

"Humph, I'll be the judge of that, you know I've been talking to your mom on the phone lately Katarina, and I promised her I'd look out for you like one of my own."

"Yes I know, she told me."

Kat seemed just a tad bit intimidated by mom.

"I didn't see your truck outside, a little bird told me someone got rid of it for you, oh Colton that's just perfect, now she can drive the Volvo..."

"Mom seriously, I hate that freaking car, why the hell would I give it to my woman to ride around in? Besides, you know good and well I gave it to that mother of five in Glenwoods whose douche bag of a husband left her and took the only means of transportation."
