A group of three male orcs sit around the other side of the fire, flicking their gazes my way, then going back to running stones over the blades of their axes and swords.

“Orcs do not care about popular. You are mine now, my mate. They will adapt. Or not. It will not change that fact, my Selthe.”

His voice softens on the words. It’s still a grumble but it’s sort of sweet and I lean my head against his chest, listening to the heavy pounding of his heart. I feel him pulling me in. It’s a feeling unfamiliar to me but there’s this little part of me that wants to give him everything I have. I want to feel this protected and safe forever.

When I look up, I think I see the same thing in his eyes. He wants to be my protector. There is lust there as well, heady and thick, and feelings well inside of me, threatening to make me question everything.

“Your father, is he here also?” I ask, suddenly wanting to know everything about him.

“No.” Mol lowers his eyes, tugging me closer as I nestle against him. “He did not make it more than a year after we were taken. He fought the Moban at every turn. They executed him in front of our clan. Making an example out of him. We fought back, but in the end, they subdued us with their technology. Collared us with devices that could inhibit our strength and render us powerless when it suited them, but extended our lives indefinitely. All the better for their slaves to last longer.”

I run my hand along the base of his neck. A series of thick scars the shape of pennies encircle his throat.

“I don’t want to cause trouble here.” I say. The years have not been kind to anyone on the planet, but what he’s been through is nothing compared to most humans.

“You are not trouble. You are mine to protect. My…” His eyes narrow, lips pressing tight as the fire glances off his lower tusks. “Baby. It is a human term of affection that suits who you are to me. Baby.”

The sweet, simple word sounds strange coming from this hulking monster but that does nothing to lessen the titillating effect it has down between my legs. My nipples draw tight, a flutter in my belly tap dances around as wetness seeps into my panties.

He looks at me with such intensity, I feel naked. I’m vulnerable for the first time in so long, I’m not sure how to act.

Mol’s enormous fingers press under my chin then slip down my throat. “Taking care of you means I will do everything for you. I will break bones, I will remove beating hearts, put heads on stakes and burn the kingdoms of anyone that would come to harm you.”

I consider that for a moment. A few hours ago, I didn’t know this creature except for the proof that he can tear apart humans from watching him at the abandoned house yesterday.

“But why?”

“Because we are mated. I will breed with you. You will carry many of my offspring. There is no doubt.”

My pussy pulses along with whatever is under me. I shake away my doubts. One thing I’ve learned since the return, is life is precarious. Tomorrow isn’t promised and somewhere deep in my primal DNA, I feel what he feels.

“If I am your mate,” I whisper, his eyes lustful and surprised as I turn, shifting my feet to the ground and stand between his knees. I’m barely face to face with him as he stays seated. “Show me what that means.”

I reach down and pull his hand into mine. It’s heavy, rough, and I shiver thinking of what his fingers will feel like on my body.

“You are so small.” His face looks pained again. “You are soft and…” His voice trails off as his chin drops to his chest on a groan.

I reach up with my other hand and tug at the leather lace on the front of my corset. “Maybe you need more incentive?”

I have my own serious doubts about how this will work, that Mol’s…equipment, whatever it is, will fit me, but lust has a way of making the impossible seem possible.

His eyes snap upward as I wiggle my fingers in the lacing, loosening the leather that holds my breasts up threatening to set them free right here in front of Mol and whoever else is watching.

“No.” He barks, sweeping me up in one motion as my nipples tighten and I draw a sharp breath. “Not here. No one will see you, Selthe, but me.”

The green glow from under his kilt is suddenly luminous, drawing gasps and deep chuckles from surrounding orcs.

“Then, you better find us a more private place. Fast.”

Mol

This does not feel real.

She does not look at me like a monster the way most humans do. When she touches me, knots deep inside me begin to loosen.
