She pouted, making me laugh again. I was slowly getting used to using those muscles again. The only person who’d ever really made me genuinely smile or laugh was my daughter. When she’d left for college, Scout had informed me that I had turned into a grumpy son of a bitch. I didn’t have a fuck to give about that, but around Harlowe, smiling and laughing came as easy as breathing.

I turned around and squatted in front of Harlowe so she could lean forward and slowly peel away the bandages. As the tattoo was revealed, she sucked in a quick breath and held it.

At the top of the cross, I had an angel wing added to each side. Above them was a halo circling the tip and just above it were the words, “Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.”

“It’s beautiful,” Harlowe mumbled. Then I heard a little sniff, and I dropped to my knees and spun around. I placed my hands on either side of her and leaned in close to examine her face.

“Why are you crying?” I demanded, starting to panic. I fucking hated it when she cried. She’d said the tat was beautiful, so I was pretty sure she liked it. “Did someone hurt you?” I blurted out, wondering if she’d been keeping something bad from me.

Harlowe giggled and wiped at the tears slipping down her cheeks. “Chill, babe. It’s the pregnancy hormones.” She leaned in and left a sweet kiss on my lips, helping me to calm down. Then she beamed at me as I cupped her face and used my thumbs to wipe away the rest of her tears. “I love it. I love you,” she whispered.

“I love you too, angel.” I pulled her in for a more thorough kiss that left us both breathless. When I released her lips, I gave her a lopsided smile and winked. “Did I fulfill my end of the bargain to your satisfaction?”

Harlowe laughed and threw herself into my arms, bowling me over so we both ended up on the ground in a tangle of arms and legs. She kissed me hard and straddled my body, bringing my cock to attention. “Definitely. But now I’m more interested in the other type of satisfaction you promised me.” She ground her pussy down on my dick and moaned.

In a flash, I reversed our positions and grinned down at the love of my life. “I aim to please, angel.”

Epilogue

Harlowe

Lifting my head, I looked toward the hospital room door when my stepdaughter—something it took me a while to get used to calling her since Larissa was only a year younger than me—poked her head into the room and asked, “Hey, are you guys ready for visitors?”

I was exhausted from giving birth an hour or so ago, but that didn’t stop me from smiling and nodding. Even though she lived in Timber Ridge with her husband, I’d still grown close to her over the past nine months since our pregnancies had overlapped. Her and Kace’s baby boy, Talon, was only two months older than our son.

“Get your butt in here and meet your baby brother, sweetie,” Link ordered, looking at her over his shoulder from his spot in the chair next to the bed. Harrison was swathed in a blue blanket and cuddled against his chest.

Larissa flung the door open and rushed into the room, with her husband following close behind her. Kace had Talon strapped to his chest in a carrier, and I couldn’t wait to watch my sexy biker walk around with Harrison the same way. Preferably without a shirt on so I could stare at his fine ass and the amazing tattoo he’d put on his back for me every time he turned around.

“Oh my gosh! He’s so precious,” Larissa cooed, kneeling next to her dad and reaching out to stroke her finger against Harrison’s cheek. Link wrapped his free arm around her shoulder and gave her a hug. “You did good, Dad.”

Link smiled at her. “Thanks, sweetie.”

“But I don’t see Talon ever calling Harrison his uncle since your grandson is older than your son,” she pointed out with a big grin.

Link chuckled and shook his head. He had grown used to her giving him shit about the twenty-year age gap between her and her little brother. “The boys are family; it doesn’t matter what they call each other.”

“True,” Larissa conceded, her smile growing wider. “But maybe we should rethink what Talon is going to call you. Instead of grandpa, we should go with something like granddaddy so it’s closer to what Harrison will call you so you don’t get confused in your old age.”

Link glared up at his daughter, but her son came to her rescue. Talon let out a little wail, shoving his fist into his mouth. Larissa popped a pacifier in, but he spat it right back out and fussed again. “Uh-oh, someone’s getting hungry.”
