Ooft. Bossman is cranky. I wonder if he’ll spank me.

Without waiting to see if I’ll follow him, he strides to the back of the bar, and as Dalton goes to follow him, he meets my stare, and a wild smirk cuts across my face. “What?” I question, as innocently as ever.

Dalton rolls his eyes and continues to follow Zade as I turn to Heather. “Give me two minutes.”

She nods and goes about her duties as I scurry after the guys. Not seeing which way they went after stepping through to the back, I walk through the door and past the kitchen to look for them. When I round the corner to the back of the bar, a hand snakes out like lightning, gripping the front of my shirt and throwing me up against the wall.

Zade moves into me, his hard body pressed right up against mine, fury in his cold stare. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” he rumbles.

“Ooooh,” I say, hunger bursting through my veins, forcing my knee between his thighs and pushing up just enough to grind against him, knowing damn well that my response isn’t at all what he’s looking for. But I’m starting to learn with Zade just how easily I can frustrate him, and it’s the best fun I’ve ever had. “Bringing me back here to throw me around, huh? Wow, Bossman. I knew there was something a little kinky about you. Tell me, does Sawyer’s sister like it when you throw her around, too?”

Zade clenches his jaw, the fury in his eyes turning to red-hot rage. He glances at Dalton with an accusatory stare, but Dalton just presses his lips into a hard line and shakes his head as though he had nothing to do with allowing that little piece of information to slip.

Zade’s stare turns back to me, and a second passes as I wait for him to release me. When it becomes obvious that he doesn’t plan to, my lips twist into a wicked smirk before letting out an ear-shattering scream. “HELP ME! PLEASE, HELP ME!”

Zade’s eyes bulge out of his head and he shoves harder into me, his hand slamming down over my mouth as Dalton hastily looks around, making sure no one is about to come running to my aid. “What the fuck is wrong with you?” Zade hisses, his stare cold and lethal.

He pulls back just an inch to allow me to speak. “Wait. You’re not trying to kill me?” I question, giving him a blank stare.

“You know damn well I’m not about to kill you. Not yet, at least.”

“Ahh, my bad,” I say, giving him a hard shove, pushing him off me and forcing his hands off my body. “In that case, asshole, you have no fucking reason to put your hands on me like that. I mean, shit. Who the fuck do you think you are ordering me around in the middle of my shift? I’m trying to work.”

Frustration burns through his stare, and I watch the way his hands ball into fists at his side, clearly itching to grab me again. “You’re not fucking working. You’re too busy trying to work out how to fuck your customers.”

I grin at him. “What’s the matter, Zade? Jealous I’m not trying to fuck you?”

He scoffs. “Wake up,” he tells me. “Not every fucking man who walks this planet wants a piece of your over-used, communal pussy.”

“No, they certainly don’t,” I agree with him, stepping into him and raising my chin, my lips barely a whisper away as my tits brush against his wide chest. “But you do, don’t you, Zade? You could barely control yourself this morning, that rock-hard cock pressed against my ass. Did it feel good?” I whisper. “Did you pleasure yourself while thinking about me?”

Dalton groans from behind Zade, his hands running through his hair as he starts to pace, knowing damn well I’m under his skin.

“You’re not going out with that guy,” Zade tells me, avoiding my question.

I laugh and step back, needing the space between us. “I had no intention of actually going out with him. But now that I know just how badly you don’t want me to, I think I just might.”

“Like hell.”

An ugly scoff tears from the back of my throat as anger pulses through my veins like poison. “Is it not enough that you’re taking my life in twenty-seven days?” I hiss. “You have to take my freedom too? If my days are numbered, then you bet your ass I’m going to live them well. And if that means going out with some random guy I met in a bar, who probably only wants to see if he can fuck me, then goddamn, you better believe I’m going out with that guy.”

“No. I—”

“What the hell is going on back here?” Danny’s booming tone cuts through the tension, his sharp gaze raking over the guys before coming to me. “What did I tell you about bringing your bullshit into my bar?”
