Just like things had changed again now. She wasn’t Mia, she was Hadley and she wasn’t his. She’d made her feelings clear when she’d backed away the other night. It was too soon. Or maybe she no longer wanted him the same way she once did.

He’d been lost in those memories, those feelings when he’d seen Maddox wink at his girl and he’d been pissed. And jealous. The latter not an emotion he was used to feeling. He needed space to clear his mind because he’d almost bitten off his manager’s head for being friendly. Zach parked the vehicle inside his garage and Hadley climbed out before he could help her. Grabbing the bags from the back, he carried them inside, walking through the house and going straight to her bedroom.

Hadley hadn’t been in his home for long but her sweet scent permeated the air and that warm, familiar feeling stirred his blood. He needed to get out of here before he did something stupid, like pulling her into another hot kiss. He placed her bags on the floor and turned to leave.

“Are you still upset?” she asked, the question stopping him and she walked around him to enter the bedroom.

He glanced back at her as she plopped down on the bed, bouncing as she did.

He closed his eyes against the vision of her breasts bobbing beneath her tank top, opening his eyelids again when he thought it was safe.

Except she now sat on the bed, knees crossed, her eyelids low, a seductive look on her beautiful face. “Well?” she asked.

He spun back towards her. “I’m not upset, I’m–”

“Jealous?” she asked in a husky voice, her lips glistening with gloss she’d reapplied in the car.

He blinked in surprise. Had he been that obvious?

He did a quick study of her features and saw a teasing smile lifting her lips. This wasn’t the same woman who’d pulled away a few nights ago, and if she wanted to tease him, he could play the same game.

“And if I was?” He walked over to where she sat on the bed and looked down into her light blue eyes, bracing one hand on the wooden headboard behind her.

She lifted one shoulder. “I’d say you didn’t need to be.”

He knew there’d been other men just like he’d been with other women but no one had meant anything to him. “There’s no one you left behind at home?” His heart squeezed in his chest as he waited for her answer.

She shook her head. “No relationships for me, either.”

He cocked an eyebrow. Damn the women in his family and their big mouths. But he didn’t give a shit what Hadley knew about his lack of a romantic past. Not when she was admitting hers had been similar.

Her tongue slid over her lower lip and that seductive move cut the leash that had tethered him. He bent down and his mouth met hers, their tongues coming together, a prelude to easing the need spiraling through him. She hooked an arm around his neck and using him as an anchor, pulled herself to a sitting position, her lips never leaving his.

But her hands were busy reaching for the hem of his shirt. To help her, he broke the kiss and yanked the collar, pulling his shirt off and tossing it onto the floor.

“Zach.” She spoke his name on an awed whisper as she placed her palms on his chest.

He cupped her face in his hands. “We have so much time to make up for.”

“But we only have now. Until I can safely take my sister home. Then we go our separate ways.”

Everything in him rebelled at her words but he understood them, too. And needed to keep them in mind no matter what happened while she was here. “But I reserve the right to try and change your mind,” he said, and cut off conversation by sealing his lips over hers. It wasn’t that he was giving her his heart again, but he’d be a fool not to try for more.

Once he was certain she was lost in the kiss, he slid his hands beneath her tank top. “Take it off,” he said against her mouth.

He raised his head and she stripped off her top, leaving her in a pink lace bra that pushed up her breasts, exposing tantalizing mounds of flesh.

“Beautiful,” he said, dipping his head and pressing a kiss over the soft skin on each. Then he placed his hands behind her back and unhooked the garment, watching as she shimmied the straps down and off her arms, her breasts bobbing with the movement.

He cupped them in his hands and she arched into him. “Feels so good.” She moaned the words, tipping back her head, revealing her slender neck.

“I can make you feel even better.” He dipped his fingers into the waistband of her pants and she raised her hips, helping him as he pulled off her leggings, taking her panties along with them. He dropped the remainder of her clothes onto the floor.
