Dash took advantage, his thumb making long strokes across her skin until he reached the edge of her shorts. He teased her, dipping his finger beneath the hem, but the leather was tight, and he couldn’t move up far enough to give her some kind of relief. He leaned in close, his breath warm on her cheek. “Do you have any idea what I want to do to you?”

He lifted his hand off her thigh, and taking her off guard, he swept that teasing finger across her sex, pressing against the leather and making sure he pushed against her clit. “And I will, the minute I get you alone.”

He released the pressure and she wanted to cry in frustration. No doubt that had been his intent. As he clasped her hand in his, she had no choice but to watch and listen to Vivi, the talented artist, sing and perform for the admiring crowd. It wasn’t easy to concentrate, not with the wetness in her skimpy underwear and the empty pulsing in her core. Meanwhile, jaw tight, looking equally antsy, Dash kept his gaze on the stage.

When the set ended and the lights brightened the room, Sasha and Xander found them and settled into empty seats.

While the brothers chatted, Sasha leaned into Cassidy. “How’s it going?” she asked.

“I’m having a great time,” Cassidy murmured.

“Is something wrong?” Sasha wrinkled her nose as she studied her. “Need a ladies’ trip to the restroom?” Her friend knew her too well.

But Cassidy didn’t need girl talk to make her decision about tonight, so she shook her head. Besides, no way did she want to walk around more than she had to. The tight pants would brush against her sensitive areas and make things worse. “I’m okay. Dash has just been very…”

“Touchy?” Sasha asked, glancing down at Dash’s hand still wrapped around hers.

“Shh.” But Cassidy felt the blush stealing across her cheeks. She needed a change of subject. “You did a wonderful job presenting the award,” she told her friend.

Sasha swept her long blond hair to the side and smiled. “Thank you. I was glad when it was over. These award ceremonies can feel endless. So much waiting. So where are you staying tonight? Xander wants to go back to his apartment uptown, and Axel said he’d take care of Bella. Xander gave him a key to the house so he could walk and feed her.”

“Aww. That’s sweet. My brother’s a softy sometimes. He loves animals.” Cassidy bit the inside of her cheek. “I’m not sure what our plans are. I didn’t intend to stay in the city, but it is a long ride back.”

She glanced around, not wanting to give Sasha an opportunity to ask questions about her curious relationship with Dash.

During her perusal, she caught sight of an uber-famous couple. “Oh, look! Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly!” she whispered, doing her best not to squeal and gesture like the fangirl she was.

Sasha chuckled and proceeded to subtly nod and point out different actors and musicians and whisper stories about each.

“Well, look who’s here. My new business partners.” Harrison Dare grabbed a chair from another table and settled his large body into the seat. He grinned at Sasha and Xander, saying his hellos before turning to Dash and Cassidy.

“What are you doing here?” Dash asked. “I thought you were filming a movie?”

“My cousin is part-owner of this bar,” he said. “I wouldn’t miss him hosting such a huge event. Even if Jason has been too busy to sit down for five minutes and catch up.” He grinned and glanced at Cassidy. They’d met when he was on set with Sasha during one of the period pieces they’d starred in together.

“You’re looking beautiful tonight.” Harrison appraised her with a warm glint in his indigo eyes.

A rumble sounded from deep in Dash’s throat, loud despite the crowd and the background music, and he settled his hand around the back of her neck, staking his claim.

Cassidy would have shot him an annoyed look if she could have turned to meet his gaze, but he had her locked in place beside him.

“Thank you, Harrison. How are you?” she asked the other man. After her stint as a personal assistant for the band, who she’d seen wandering around tonight, she’d be working closely with all three of the partners at K-Talent Productions, and she wasn’t about to be rude to Harrison.

“All is good here, thanks,” he said. “Vodka?” He gestured to her martini and Dash’s drink with a knowing grin.

She nodded. “Only the best,” she said, letting him know it was his family’s brand they were drinking.

His answering smile was sexy, made more so thanks to one side tooth that overlapped another. Just short of perfection, Harrison Dare was a movie star with a face made for the big screen, eyes a unique color and his black hair just begging for a woman to run her fingers through the longer strands.
