At the bar, he sidled up next to Seamus and Mitch. “Why are you two not out there dancing?”

“We didn’t want to show you up at your wedding,” Seamus said with a devilish grin.

He barked out a laugh. “Yeah, okay.”

“Nah, we’ll go dance soon,” Seamus said.

“Okay. You know Tripp is gonna come find you if you don’t go out there.”

“Oh, I know,” Seamus laughed.

“How about a shot to celebrate you on your big day?” Mitch asked, and waved for the bartender. “Three shots of tequila, please.”

“Tequila? You trying to kill me?” Seamus muttered.

“No, just trying to get you drunk so I can get in your pants later.” He grinned.

Seamus rolled his eyes. “You know I don’t have to be drunk for you to get in my pants.”

“Having sex with you while your drunk is extremely fun.” Mitch laughed. “You’re so uninhibited and carefree, I can do whatever I want to you; and you don’t care.”

Seamus blushed hard, and Jayme laughed. “Don’t worry, Tripp would probably say the same thing about me,” he said.

“Not helping, Jayme.” Seamus groaned. “Can we do these shots now?”

They all picked up their shots, tapped them together; then downed them. He hissed at the burn, as he put the glass back on the bar. “Can I get a beer?” he asked the bartender.

The bartender cracked one open and set it on the bar for him. He took a swig to wash down the tequila.

“Ah, there he is,” Brendan’s voice said from behind him.

He turned to see Brendan, Will, Matt, and Phil walking up to the bar. Jayme smiled.

“Hey guys.”

“We need to do some shots,” Matt announced, and flagged down the bartender.

Jayme groaned. He was going to be hammered if they kept doing shots. After three shots, he waved off any more. He was already feeling it, and he wanted to remember his wedding day. He left the guys at the bar and went to find Tripp. He was just drunk enough to dance.

Tripp was in the center of the dance floor, dancing his cute little butt off with his mom, sister, and other relatives. He saw Jayme coming his way and smiled brightly. Tripp had lost his bow tie and jacket. His sleeves were rolled up, showing off his sexy forearms. Tripp held out his hand, and he took it; letting himself get pulled into the center of everyone. He danced with Tripp for a while, before taking a break. He got rid of his jacket and tie and rolled his sleeves up also.

He was sitting at his and Tripp’s table drinking a beer, when Tripp plopped down next to him. He stole his beer and downed the rest of it. He “Ahhhh-ed” loudly and wiped the back of his hand over his mouth. Jayme smirked.

“Having fun?” he asked.

“Yes. Are you?”

“Mmm hmm.” He nodded. “Just needed a breather.”

“Yeah. I’m thirsty. I’m gonna go get a beer, do you want another one?”

“Sure, Babe.”

Tripp leaned over and popped a kiss on his cheek, before hopping up and heading to the bar. He came back a few minutes later with two beers and handed Jayme one.

“Thanks, Love,” he said.

“Here’s to the rest of our lives,” Tripp said, and tilted his beer bottle toward Jayme.

He smiled and tapped their bottles together. “To the rest of our lives.”

Tripp

Tripp and Jayme walked in their front door around two a.m. They were both exhausted, as they shuffled into the living room. River came running in from the kitchen to greet them with his whole body wiggling, and his tail whipping back and forth.

“Hey buddy,” he murmured. “Ya gotta go out?”

River spun and ran back into the kitchen. Guess that was a yes. He reached out and gave Jayme’s hand a squeeze. “I’ll be up shortly.”

“Okay.”

He went into the kitchen, to find River sitting by the back door. He opened the door and let him run out into their fenced in backyard. He waited there until River did his business and came back into the house. He locked up, shut out the lights, and made his way to the stairs.

He walked into their bedroom with River on his heels. He frowned when Jayme wasn’t there. He even looked in the bathroom. “Jayme?”

“In here,” Jayme called from across the hall.

Tripp walked into the room that they had set up as a nursery, to see Jayme standing next to the crib; holding a stuffed elephant that they had put in the crib. “Hey, everything okay? What are you doing in here?”

Jayme looked up, and his heart skipped a beat. He knew from Jayme’s expression, that the next words out of his mouth were going to change their life.

“I’m ready,” Jayme said with utter certainty.

“Really?” he replied, a slow grin taking over his face.

Jayme smiled softly and nodded, looking back down at the elephant. “Yeah. Let’s do it. Let’s have a baby.”
