His big hands went to my ass, and he guided me up and down.
My hands planted on his shoulders, and I rose and fell slowly, rolling my hips on the way down, smearing his wet length with another coat of moisture.
His fingers kneaded my ass as he guided me, his eyes hard with desire.
We moved together at a slow pace, our eyes locked on each other, our breathing syncing up. Sweat coated our bodies moments later, and we grinded and moved, the fire deep inside us both. It was one of the few times that he let me take the reins, let me do all the work and all the pleasing.
“You fuck good, baby.”
“Your dick is easy to fuck, babe.”
A subtle smirk moved over his lips, but it didn’t last long. His eyes flicked back to their seriousness, his jawline hard as he continued to grip my ass. “I fucking love it when you call me that.”

AXEL
I arrived at the estate then approached the double doors to his home. My nerves were on fire, not because of the opponent I was about to face, but because of the woman I would probably see.
The very woman who’d woken up beside me that morning.
I’d told her this would be uncomplicated, but now it was a complicated mess. I knew I wanted more than a fling, that it was already long past the fling stage. And if I let it continue, it would turn into a deeply serious, committed relationship—and that didn’t scare me at all.
The only thing that did scare me was her father.
There was no way I could get him to let this go. My one and only chance was Scarlett. Perhaps if she spoke to him, he would have no other choice but to accept me as the man she wanted. If he tried to kill me, she would know he was responsible, and he would lose his daughter.
But that meant she would have to show her cards, and I wasn’t sure if she would do that. It would jeopardize everything she’d been working for.
But maybe I would be worth it.
I checked in with the butler and waited for Dante to join me. I stared at a painting on the wall, some pretentious piece of art that could easily be replaced by something from the thrift store and no one would know the difference.
Dante rounded the corner, and of course, Scarlett was with him. “Try to get this to me before my meeting with Axel is finished,” he said. “And call Mario about the shipping containers.”
“Sure thing.” She turned and walked into his study, not looking at me once.
It took all my strength to focus on the painting and not catch a glimpse of her ass in that tight skirt.
“Axel.” His voice was cordial, but there was a hint of quiet rage deep underneath. Now that he assumed my relationship with his daughter was over, he was less antagonistic, but he could still barely tolerate me.
I turned to him. “Let’s talk numbers.”
His eyes were a little angry as he looked at me, like the sight of my face reignited all the anger he tried so hard to suppress. But he managed to brush it off. “Let’s.” He stepped onto the patio and took a seat under the umbrella.
The butler brought drinks and cigars.
We both lit up and talked business.
“I see that you’ve cut expenses further.” He sat with his legs crossed, his cigar in his relaxed fingertips.
“That’s what you requested.”
“But you said it couldn’t be done.”
“It couldn’t be done without cutting wages.”
He brought the cigar to his mouth to let the smoke coat his tongue. “So it can be done.”
I continued to pay the guys with my own money. I wouldn’t screw them over because this billionaire was so fucking greedy. Once profits rose again, I would start paying them from the pot once more, and Dante wouldn’t even know what happened.
We talked about other things, other relationships that could serve us.
“The Sanswith Society Gala is next week,” I said. “There are going to be a lot of people there, including Giovanni Hallsworth. I think an introduction is necessary if we’re going to expand our reach.”
He gave a slight nod in agreement. “What does he like?”
“Women.”
“All men like women.”
“Not more than this man.” He had a wife, but he also had three mistresses. His wife was fully aware of the younger women who fulfilled his libido when she couldn’t. But she fulfilled his emotional needs—and that seemed to be enough for her.
“Good to know.” He crossed his arms and let the smoke slowly leave his mouth. “Men are weaker for women than they are for money.” He stared at me across the table, like he could see right through me.
“You’re right about that.”
I’d just walked into my bedroom when my phone lit up with her name.
