This is all new to you, and even more it will be a dangerous journey, but this is the life you have chosen.

The ring weighs heavy on your finger, yet no doubts come to you. You’re confident that you chose correctly.

You reach the red door, grab the cold knob, and open the door.

The screams sound louder.

Uneasiness rises within you, but you walk in anyway.

To your shock, Kazimir’s cousin, Misha is tied to a chair. He is hunched over. Dark purplish bruises decorate both of his eyes. Blood drips from his face and onto his shirt and pants.

Kazimir stands next to him with his hands fisted. Blood coats your lion’s fingers.

Stunned, you open your mouth.

Kazimir turns your way. Where rage had covered his face, suddenly it shifts to joy. “Good morning, Novoluniye.”

You clear your throat and ask him what is going on.

Kazimir puts his view back on Misha. Disgust laces his voice. “It appears my cousin has made you the center of his new obsession.”

More shock rocks your body.

“I would show you all the footage that he has saved on his laptop of you, but it is too disrespectful.” Kazimir sneers. “My cousin has been watching you shower, sleep, dress, and even pee. Sick bastard.”

You have no idea what to do with this information.

Kazimir continues, “My men walked in on him jacking off to a video of you taking off your clothes.”

Misha spits blood on to the floor and drags his view to you. “But, what my cousin doesn’t say is that he asked me to start watching you in the first place.”

Kazimir’s fist flies into the air and falls down, crashing into Misha’s face with a wet smack. Misha’s body along with the chair he is in, falls back and slams to the floor. Blood splatters around him.

Misha howls in pain. His body twitches.

Kazimir turns back to you. “He’s correct. I did ask him to monitor you.”

Your breath catches in your throat.

“I wanted to know everything about you. I yearned to discover every way I could spoil and love you.”

Understanding comes.

Kazimir walks over and stops a foot in front of you. “Once I received the information, he was expected to stop watching.”

Misha yells from the floor. “I couldn’t. I. . .couldn’t stop. I’ve become. . .addicted. . .”

Kazimir frowns. “Do I kill him? It is your choice.”

Stunned, you step back.

“Novoluniye, you must make the decision. It is your wedding and he has disrespected you.” Kazimir gestures to his guard. “What do you want?”

The man walks over and hands Kazimir a gun.

“I love my cousin. We grew up together. Misha has protected and been there for me when I needed him.” Kazimir grips the handle hard. “But now you will be my wife, and my focus is centered on you.”

Warmth runs through your chest when you look at this man. You walk over to him and he pulls you in with his strong arms. His hard muscle presses against you.

“When it comes to you, Novoluniye.” Kazimir brushes his lip against your ear. “I would kill anyone. . .even my own cousin.”

But you know that Misha’s death is not necessary. All that you care about is your lion’s love.

And that’s what you tell him.

Nodding, Kazimir looks to his men. “Send my cousin back to St. Petersburg. He cannot attend our wedding or come around us again.”

You sigh in relief.

Stepping back, Kazimir frowns. “I have gotten blood all over your beautiful robe, Novoluniye.”

You smile.

“But, it doesn’t matter. You should be wearing white today.” He licks his lip. “Hurry and get dressed. Already, I am ready to tear the wedding gown off of you.”

You hurry away and return to your room.

Five women wait for you in the master suite. Racks of bridal gowns pack the room, filling the space with a flowery scent. Some shimmer like diamonds. Satin and silk. Lace and tule. They are a beautiful mish-mash of colors, textures, and patterns.

One has a bodice covered in tiny pink flowers and an equally tiny white lace skirt. Another gown displays cream lace overlay, with a modest neckline and capped sleeves. Another one is black and white velvet with a stand-up collar with lines of cascading pearls.

The gowns are perfectly hung. Each on its own hanger, spotless and ready to wear.

You slide your fingers along the smooth, delicate fabrics. Many have a luxuriantly silky feel to them. Each gleams with possibility.

Feeling like royalty, you stand in the center of the room and breathe deeply, trying to imagine the one that will suit you best.

You try on tons of gowns, picking this one and that. The women help you in and out of them, zipping and buttoning, hanging and carrying several long mirrors over to help you make a decision.

So far, you found one that you really love. It perfectly hugs your frame and compliments your body. It also uses your favorite fabric and color.
