You raise one gun and shoot.

The bullet pierces the back of his neck.

Kazimir groans in desire and lays the rocket launcher down. “Novoluniye, you surprise me.”

No longer terrified of anything anymore, you lower your gun and smile.

The whole space stinks of death. Where there isn’t blood, there is flames and burning bodies. Smoke fogs the space, making it hard to see.

But there is no need for a clear view.

You are certain that everyone is dead.

You take a deep breath, knowing that no more harm will come.

The Scorpion is dead, and surrounded by his men’s ripped and flamed corpses.

“We should leave.” Kazimir shakes his head and looks around at the hotel. “This place is a dump.”

To your surprise, a sadistic chuckle leaves your mouth.

Kazimir joins you. The sound of his laughter makes you feel warm inside. You stare at him, not even bothering to take in the horrific scene around you.

You look into Kazimir’s cold, blue eyes full of sex and danger, love and protection. You watch the way his lips part and his teeth glisten through them. You see the rise and fall of his muscular chest as he takes in a deep breath.

Your body feels warm.

“Novoluniye.”

You arch your brow in question.

“Marry me?”

Chapter 9

The Big Question

Kazimir asks again. “Marry me?”

At first, you don’t know what to say. Shock freezes you in the moment.

Kazimir gazes down at you. Love radiates from his huge frame.

All you can think about is these past fast-paced days. Since the moment Kazimir has crashed into your life, things have been amazing and exciting. While you did get kidnapped, you were also saved, fucked, and loved with every bit of his heart.

Kazimir gazes at you with a fierce intensity. “Novoluniye, answer me.”

A seed of excitement begins to grow in your belly.

If you say yes, Kazimir will be yours forever and you will be his.

He has given you so much and brought absolute luxury and excitement to your life.

With him, you will always be loved and safe.

And deep down in your heart, you know without a doubt that where he goes, you go.

For better or worse.

Forever.

Phrases like ‘I do’ and ‘I will always love you’ tickle your lips.

Finally, you reply back to him, “Yes.”

A faint smile spreads across Kazimir’s face. He grabs you and pulls you into his chest, where his heart pounds against your ear.

And then he kisses you. At first, it is gentle and soft. Then, it shifts to passionate, tender, and yielding.

With a firm pressure he engages your lips with his and pushes his tongue into your mouth. This kiss is deep and inviting.

It holds space for your needs and calls forth desire from deep within your soul.

This kiss is melt-your-bones good.

And you deserve every delicious sensation.

Kazimir moves his lips from yours and then, he runs his tongue down your neck and across the exposed skin, giving you the most amazing kisses.

You’re glowing with warmth and exhilaration as you feel your skin ignite in his wake.

Kazimir gives you a knowing smile as he leans in to you and his lips brush against your ear.

You feel chills run down your spine and your limbs tingle from the smallest touch.

Kazimir holds your face between his palms and looks into your eyes. “Novoluniye, I love you, and I am so lucky to have you in my life. I promise to always treat you like the queen that you are.”

You smile because you feel so special. You are so glad he feels this way.

Now, it is your turn.

You turn your head gently in his palms and give him a kiss of your own.

This one is full of adoration and so very tender.

You say, “I love you too, Kazimir. I am so blessed and grateful.”

“From now on, your life will never be the same.” He guides you down the hall towards the dead bodies of Scorpion and his men. Blood smooths against the bottom of your feet and a few bullet casings press against your toes, but you don’t care.

Your senses are seared onto your future husband.

You both step over the corpses, leave the hallway, and head down the stairs. More dead bodies fill the stair case. The whole space reeks of death. Several of Kazimir’s men groan and stumble away.

Kazimir squeezes your hand. “I want to marry you immediately.”

You agree.

“What type of wedding do you want, Novoluniye?”

You tell him, “I want a small and intimate ceremony.”

“Where, my love?”

“On a Mediterranean beach.”

“I know just the place.” Still guiding you down the stairs, he pulls out his phone, dials a number, and puts the device next to his ear. “Misha, wake up and get the plane ready. What? No. He’s dead. My fiancé killed him. Yes. That’s right. I’m getting married.”

You grin.

Once you both reach the lower level of the hotel, Kazimir leads you through the lobby. The place was once a luxurious space but now it is a battleground. The lobby is in ruins, the furniture is smashed, tables and chairs torn and shattered, hundreds of bodies strewn about like broken dolls. Corpses are scattered around a large hole in the wall where it looks like part of the hotel had been ripped away by some massive force.
