“Good morning,” she says gently with a small yawn. “How long did I sleep for?”
“You’ve been out for hours…I guess you really needed it.”
Olivia nods slowly. “I haven’t been sleeping well lately…and after last night…I must have been especially tired.”
I smirk, thinking back to the things we did and how her body squirmed under my touch. Every reminder only makes me want to do it all over again. But I know I should be patient – all in good time.
“You can sleep as long as you want here. Remember, you’re my guest,” I whisper into her hair, planting a kiss on top of her head.
She smiles. “You’ve been so kind to me…I don’t know how I’ll ever make it up to you, Elijah.”
“You being here is the only thing I want,” I say softly. “I don’t need anything else in return. Just stay with me.”
She sighs happily. “That I can do.”
I hold her close. I should show my face downstairs, my mother will likely have put two and two together by now. She must know what’s going on between Olivia and me, but I don’t care. Even though she advised against it, I can make my own choices.
Still, she needs help around this place. That’s why I’m here, after all. My Dad is away for a few days, and I should really make some progress before he comes home. I begin to pry myself away from Olivia, reaching for my pants.
“I need to get up and help my Mom. I promised her I’d make progress with the renovations,” I tell Olivia. She smiles and begins to get up too.
“Let me come and help.”
“No way. You should stay here and get some rest. You need it.”
“I’m not tired anymore. I want to be useful, especially if I’m going to be staying here. Maybe I could cook you and your Mom some breakfast?”
I waver. I don’t like the idea of Olivia running around after my mother or me, even though she seems so keen to help out. But her pleading eyes finally soften me up. I sigh.
“Well, I suppose if that’s what you want to do, then my mother would probably appreciate it.”
Olivia beams at me. “Then it’s settled. In fact, I’m glad you said that. It would be nice to get on your Mom’s good side.”
I smile to myself. Of course, Olivia would be concerned about something like that. I think it’s possible that she’s the most considerate person I’ve ever met. One day into our relationship and she’s already thinking of ways to make my Mom approve of her.
Our relationship. I think about that as I dress. I’ve never been in a relationship before, but it feels like this is one. Our feelings are so deep already, our connection undeniable.
I watch her dress on the other side of the room and feel warmth rushing through me. She’s mine. I knew that from the moment I saw her. Now that we’re exploring the physical side, it seems like we’re already headed for a future together. I can’t speak for her, but if I have my way, this thing will go the full distance.
Some day, we’ll get married and declare our love to the world. Some day, we’ll live together with a bunch of our kids. I know it’s early days yet, but I’ve never been able to envision that kind of future with anyone until she came along. She’s ignited feelings inside me that have been dormant for so long…almost too long. Now I know that I can feel that way, and I want to sink deep into these feelings. I want to let them consume me. I want to lean into the sexual side of myself, the part of me that wishes Olivia would stop dressing and just let me enjoy her naked form. I want to let the animal inside me take over and rip those clothes right off again, so I can fuck her hard on the bed.
But patience will get me there in the end. I know that Olivia has the same goals in mind as I do. After all, she’s already planning for the future in her own way. She’s on the same page as me, and that’s what will take us the distance. I’ve never found someone that I gel this well with before. Not even my brother.
His absence hurts, but it makes me smile when I think about what he'd be saying to me right now if he was here. He’d be telling me that he’s so happy that I’ve found what I’ve been looking for. He’d be making Olivia feel welcome, joking around with her, teasing her lightly to make her feel like one of the family. He’d be asking all sorts of personal questions that he has no business asking, trying to figure out when we’ll be having kids, when I’ll be putting a ring on her finger….
