Then there was Blaise, who belonged to Sin. Blaise had also been the daughter of my mother’s partner at work.

Wyett, who was married to Hunt, the resident computer guru. Finally, there was Crockett.

There were no kids, however.

Which I asked about.

“They’re with my parents,” Beckham said. “And they are watching Zakelina.”

I nodded as Laric finally led me to the chair that was smack dab in the middle of them all.

“How’d therapy go?” Zach asked as I sat down.

I grimaced. “I met a girl that used to date Laric, and I told her that Laric and I were getting married, we’d been together for two years, and we also didn’t mind sharing. Hence the reason she was allowed in the picture.”

Zach stared at me in surprise before Six started to cackle from her spot next to a smirking Lynn. She had her arm wrapped around her big belly as she did.

“Oh, man. I like her, Larry. Please keep her,” Six sniggered through her order.

I winked at her and reached for a chip that was in front of me.

Dunking it into the hot sauce, I brought it to my mouth and nearly moaned when just that move made my shoulder scream.

But, like the physical therapist had suggested, I was using my bad arm to help get it back into working shape.

The only problem was, it hurt like a motherfucker.

“Did you take anything after you left?” Zach, obviously seeing the grimace, asked.

I was about to say no when Laric reached into his pocket and produced the pill bottle.

I wanted one.

Oh, boy did I want one.

But I was out with his friends, and I didn’t want to make an ass of myself.

Only, he didn’t give me much of a choice as he pulled one from the bottle and pressed it to my lips.

Without causing a big scene, I took it, then chased it down with a swallow of water.

Surprisingly, other than a few off-the-wall comments on my end, I managed to stay in complete control of myself.

And I found myself some great friends in the ladies that belonged to the members of the Souls Chapel Revenants MC.

“My whole body feels like I stepped into a bed of fire ants, doused myself with sugar water before doing so, then decided to coat my skin with the red dirt to ensure that the ants knew that I was the one to fuck with their home.” I groaned. “Everything, from the tips of my toes to the sockets of my teeth, hurt.”

He looked over at me sympathetically.

“They worked on your shoulder, not your feet,” he pointed out.

I knew that.

“Well…” I hesitated. “When they were working my shoulder, my lower half would tense up in anticipation of the pain. By the time he was done with the stretches today, my thighs were burning and I had a Charlie horse in the bottom of my foot.”

He looked at me curiously, then said, “Lynn has a hot tub. As long as we keep your shoulder out of the water, you could possibly get in it.”

My eyes must’ve lit up with instant agreement because he started to laugh.

“That would be a-freakin’-mazing,” I admitted when he started to get up.

“Let me go get some swim trunks on,” he said. “You have a swimsuit you can wear?”

I shook my head. “Nope.”

He frowned. “You can either go in your bra and panties, or you can go look in the pool house to see if there’s a bathing suit in there that you could try. My suggestion is the bra and panties, because you ain’t got anything I haven’t seen.”

“Ain’t got is atrocious grammar,” I told him as I stood up. “And I’ll go in these. I’m in a sports bra and boy shorts anyway. This’ll cover more than any swimsuit I have.”

He winked and got up, heading into his bedroom.

He didn’t close the door all the way, and just before he disappeared from sight, I got a glimpse of naked back.

A tattooed bare back that had me wanting to run and peek through the small slit in the door to get one more hit.

I was like an addict, waiting for scraps of anything I could get.

And the sad thing was, seeing him shirtless through a crack in a door thirty feet away was the highlight of my day.

But then he had to come out shirtless, in yellow Ralph Lauren swim trunks that hit him about mid-thigh, and my mind sort of… blanked.

“You ready?” he asked.

He had hair on his chest.

Oh, man.

I’d never been a hairy chest kind of girl. They’d always struck me as a bit too weird.

But on him?

On him, I’d probably go for just about anything.

And he totally worked the hairy chest.

“You ready to go? Or do you need a minute?” he asked as he caught two towels up in his hands and tucked them underneath his muscular arm.
