I reached forward, disentangled her legs from the blanket that was supposed to be covering us both, and then revealed her panty-covered bottom half to my gaze.

“My dick won’t care that you have morning breath,” I promised. “And your pussy won’t care that I have the same.”

“Sadly,” she said as she patted my chest. “That pussy thing won’t be happening today. Period, remember?”

I groaned and rested my forehead against her hip.

“But you’re right,” she said as she slowly worked herself to her knees, and then pushed me over onto my back. “Your dick won’t care that I have morning breath.”

I was right, as was she.

My dick surely didn’t give one single fuck that she had morning breath. Nor did it care that she was a little bit inexperienced.

What it cared about was that she was earnest in her appreciation of me, her mouth was hot and wet, and she had the suction of a Hoover vacuum.

By the time I was ready to come five minutes later, my mind was blown, I was fairly sure I was too rough with her, and I was thinking I needed to go look at engagement rings. Because sweet baby Jesus, there was no way in hell that I was giving this up.

I liked her exactly where she was.

And I wanted her there forever.

When she rolled to her back a few seconds after I’d finished in her mouth, then farther off the bed completely, my breathing was heavy and I still hadn’t found the will to move.

I watched her sashay to the bathroom, and I knew that this week, I needed to find that prick Thor. I needed to find him, get rid of him, and set Catori free. That way, I would know if she wanted to be here because I was here, or because she had nowhere else to go and didn’t want to be alone.

I knew that she had feelings for me.

I could see them plain as day.

But I wasn’t sure if her feelings were the same depth as mine.

“Someone’s at your door, Laric!” Catori called from the bedroom.

I got up and grinned when I saw Harlow on the other side of the door.

“Hey,” I said.

“Hey.” She smiled. “Where’s my girl?”

“Your girl is…”

There was this high-pitched squeal from the bedroom, then all of a sudden Catori was flying out with her hair straight out behind her in her haste to get to her friend.

“Oh, my God!” Catori screeched. “What are you doing here?”

I knew the moment Cat laid eyes on Harlow that going to get her friend was the right decision to make.

She’d been bored. Really bored. And she’d missed her friend greatly.

The moment Cat saw her, she let out a war cry and all but launched herself in Harlow’s direction.

I tensed, waiting for her to pull back in pain as her shoulder made connection with Harlow’s, but she managed to pull back just in time to prevent much more than a brush.

“What are you doing here?” Catori repeated, jumping up and down in glee.

Harlow looked over at me, then back to Catori. “I’m here to stay for the day, apparently. Then, when your warden gets back home, we’re apparently going to look at a new truck for you? I’ll be driving it back home, though, so you’re with him.”

Catori’s face looked like a fat kid who just walked into a cupcake shop.

Glee lit up her features, and she was smiling so huge that it warmed my heart.

God, I loved making her smile.

“You two will be okay by yourselves here all day?” I asked.

Harlow frowned. “You have food coming, right?”

I grinned. “Six said that she’d stop by around noon with lunch and to hang. She’s bored herself since Lynn won’t let her go walking anymore without him. And Lynn’s busy as fuck this week as are the rest of us. So that means that she’s ‘imprisoned,’ her words, not mine, just like you two are. Though, she can come and go as she pleases, according to her. So if y’all need anything else before she comes around noon, text her.”

Catori fist-pumped the air. “Score!”

Chuckling, I walked toward her. The intent must’ve been clear on my face, because before I’d even gotten to her, she was puckering her lips for me to take.

I dropped a kiss onto her upturned ones and then touched the tip of her nose with my index finger. “Remember what I said. Don’t go out without letting one of the boys know where you’re going. And definitely don’t leave the house if you don’t have to.”

She wrinkled her nose in disgust. “Yeah, yeah, yeah.”

I winked at her and then pulled away, giving Harlow a chin lift before heading out the door.

The roar of my motorcycle starting up was echoing in my ears as I began to leave the driveway… which had to be how I missed Catori making her way toward me until I nearly ran her the fuck over.
