Thankfully the floors smell recently cleaned. Lemon and citrus more potent than toilet water and what ascended from my stomach.

Plus, I breathe in Banks’ musky scent from his shirt. The familiar smell relaxes me. So do Akara’s hands around my waist.

Banks assesses me in another sweep. His eyes move over me like I’m his to take care of beyond fame.

“She looks better,” Akara says to Banks.

Hoarsely, I say, “Good enough to ride a dick.”

Banks wears one of those shadowy smiles. “Which dick you plan on riding?”

“Yours. His. Both.”

Akara makes a teasing face. “You don’t look good enough to suck a dick, let alone ride two.”

“Try me, Kits.” I imagine shifting and straddling him but I’m too comfortable on his lap and leaning into Banks’ chest. I barely grind my ass into Kits.

“Like I said.”

We all laugh a little. I wish the sound stayed longer, but the world is calling us to go. Back to reality. I don’t want to leave our sanctuary yet.

They must not either because none of us move.

I thought being public with our relationship meant that I’d never want these quiet moments with them. I’d never need them. But I still crave to be alone with Banks and Akara time and time again. Lost in our world where no one can disrupt us or reach us.

“A part of me just wants to live in the toilet stall,” I mutter to them.

“And become Moaning Myrtle?” Banks questions.

“You know who Moaning Myrtle is?” I ask, surprised since I didn’t think Banks had ever read Harry Potter.

Akara interjects, “He protected Xander Hale, the geek of geeks, for how many years?”

“Six,” Banks answers. “And he’s the coolest geek I know. Not that I knew a lot before him.”

Right.

Sometimes it feels like Banks has been my 24/7 bodyguard for years since he floated on my detail so much. I forgot he had more than a half-decade protecting my younger cousin.

“I won’t be Moaning Myrtle,” I say. “I can be the Lady of the Latrine.”

Akara laughs. “Now you’re ripping your favorite show?”

I flip him off.

He captures the middle finger in his hands. Holding lovingly, and my heart swells.

“Big Brother?” Banks asks.

“Yep,” Akara says. “Only in the show, it’s the Lord of the Latrine.” He whispers against my ear, “You want us to be your lords, string bean?”

String bean reminds me of the bean sprout.

“Yeah, I do,” I say, then ask just as quietly, “Do you guys think this was morning sickness?”

Banks bobs his head.

Akara glances from Banks, to me. “It’s possible, yeah.”

“We looked it up,” Banks admits.

“While I was puking?”

Akara nudges my arm lightly. “While you were resting your head.”

That causes me to relax my cheek more into Banks. I hear his heart thump, thump, thump in a hypnotic rhythm. “How can this be morning sickness if it’s at night?”

Akara keeps his voice at a whisper, maybe on the chance anyone hears outside the bathroom. Even if extra security is posted there. “Apparently, you can have morning sickness at any time, Sul.”

A ball lodges in my raw throat. “I can’t…I can’t have it tomorrow. It has to fucking stop. I need to compete.” They know I don’t want to lose because I’m pregnant. I don’t want the baby to be the reason I fail.

Not now.

Not when I’m this close to the finish line.

My last chance at individual gold.

“Just rest tonight, mermaid,” Banks says comfortingly. “Don’t worry about anything else.”

I breathe in.

“Tomorrow is a new day, Lady of the Latrine,” Akara teases with a kiss to my cheek. “We’ll take it from there.”

Sullivan Meadows Is Under the Weather the Night Before Women’s 400m Freestyle Finals

Our sources have confirmed that Sullivan Meadows was “under the weather” last night at a hotel bar outside the Olympic Village. We heard she might’ve been hugging a toilet. Was she partying with her family and had a few too many to drink? Allegedly, she’s been known to not handle her alcohol well. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it? With her last individual Olympic swim event tonight, everyone is wondering if Sullivan Meadows will be able to win gold without Kingly. She better rid that nasty hangover soon. Looks like the odds aren’t in her favor.

Watch tonight to see the results.

SULLIVAN MEADOWS

“Jane and MK went back to Philly?” After dodging Jane all day yesterday, I shouldn’t be shocked she left, but I’m guessing this has less to do with a personal rift. And more to do with the four men who tried to attack me at a hotel two days ago.

It’s dangerous here.

But I just thought…this shit happens to people like us, right? Jane is so used to paparazzi and the invasiveness of it all. I figured she’d stick it out like normal. I didn’t think she’d flee L.A. for the safety of home so soon.
