When she was fully bare, I ran my hands over her from her breasts, which stood firm and proud, down to the patch of hair between her slender thighs.

She was dripping wet, and her scent when it reached me, was almost too much for me to withstand.

It took all my control not to take her right then and there. And her antics weren’t helping any, the way she moved her body like a candle flame in the wind. I doubt she was even aware that she was doing this.

I laid her back across the bed. “Now you, take your clothes off.” She spread her legs against the sheets and her pink jewel beckoned.

I dared not, but when she reached her arms out to me with such hunger I thought it okay to shed at least my shirt. No harm in that.

I pulled my shirt off over my head. In that moment I sensed the other presence approaching the house and threw up blocks to prevent her coming any closer.

Jasmine seemed to feel it too because her eyes flew to the windows before she turned venomous eyes my way.

I was braced and ready when she flew at me, arms flailing, eyes burning with fire. I took the blows to my chest as I tried to hug her close to stop her turmoil.

“I never touched her Jasmine, I promise you.” Though the fires of jealousy doesn’t burn as bright in her as they do in me according to our way, it still burned deep, and I could well imagine what she was going through.

Each time I’d seen one of those clowns at the school sniffing around her I’d wanted to kill them with my bare hands.

“But there were others, you said so, for your country.” Now the pummeling intensified and she hit at me as her breath hitched and she started to cry.

“Jasmine, I never betrayed you. I know you’re too innocent to understand, but trust me I never once gave any of them what was meant for only you.” I kept my voice low and even, trying to calm her.

“Always I held that part of me back for you. I did the job, as harsh at it may sound. Sometimes I had to fuck them to get what I needed out of them, it was no more than that for me. I can’t tell you what any of them looked like physically, or remember their scent.”

She struggled against me and I felt like a bastard. I had never given much thought to the things I’d been called upon to do.

I saw it only as a means to an end, part of the deal I struck I guess you can say. None of it had meant anything to me, nothing did except finding my way back to her.

“Each time I’ve visited you in your dreams I took a part of you away with me always. I would remember your scent for days. I carry a picture of you in my head everywhere I go. So you see, there is no reason for you to feel this way.”

The words didn’t do much good, which was no real surprise. I wouldn’t have been as understanding if the shoe had been on the other foot either. So I guess I’m going to have to give her time to get use to the idea.

She had finally tired herself out and was winding down. I felt the barely restrained strength in her as I held her against me, synchronizing our breathing to bring hers back to normal.

I doubt that she realized that she was no longer the same. That in the last few hours alone she had grown in strength, both physically and mentally.

I’m afraid my innocent girl was no more. Now I held in my arms the beginnings of what she was meant to be; I can’t wait to explore.

“Is that where you went, those days that you missed school, were you with her?” Her voice was accusatory and just this side of pissed.

“No not with her, not the way you mean. I’ve just been trying to safeguard you. I knew that I was taking a risk coming to you now, before your eighteenth birthday.

Nothing about our union has gone as it should. Had our lives not been interrupted when they had been, we would’ve learned the truth of who you are by now no doubt.

Then there wouldn’t have been any conflict as to who was my true mate and all this would’ve been avoided.

I would’ve been allowed to date you in the way that is proper and you would’ve grown to know your husband before he was just foisted on you.

That’s why I brought you here now, before your birthday, to give us time to get to know each other, or better yet, to give you time; I’ve always known you.”
