Terror continued to rise in me.

It’s enough time to go to the police or to even go to the Syndicate.

Thunder boomed. Rain drops fell to the ground like a thousand needles. Lightning flashed in the distance. I couldn’t move.

We have to get out of here.

“What do we do?” West ran his fingers through his hair.

I turned to Phoenix, needing the sight of her to anchor me.

Phoenix wore a neutral expression as she watched us.

I wish I knew what was on her mind.

Griff sighed. “Yeah. I’m sorry. . .I fucked up. What do we do now, Cain?”

I kept my gaze on Phoenix. “We change our headquarters in Paradise, get to a new spot, and hunt Pandora.”

“How the hell do we do that?” Griff pointed to Phoenix. “With her, we had some information and details. A childhood home. A park. A friend. With Pandora, we barely know anything about her.”

West shook his head. “Which is why you shouldn’t have fucked her and simply tied her up.”

Griff flipped him off again. “You’re just jealous that you can’t get hard enough to fuck anymore—”

“Oh yeah?!” West rushed for his way. “I’ll show you a hard-on.”

I caught West and slung him back. “Calm down so we can fix this.”

“No.” West raced back for him. “I’m going to beat his ass!”

I shoved him to the side. “Enough. This is going to delay us. Get it together.”

Stumbling back, West looked around the ground. Apparently, his blunt had fallen. He picked it up and put it in his pocket.

I looked at Griff. “Apologize.”

Griff frowned. “Sorry, West.”

“Fuck you!” West dug in his pocket and pulled out a lighter. “I can get a hard-on, you piece of shit.”

“I know, man.” Griff held out his hands. “I shouldn’t have said that.”

“Fuck you.” West’s hands shook as he lit his blunt.

I rubbed my forehead. “Guys!”

Griff lowered to pool chair and buried his head into his hands. “How do we fix this, Cain? I really messed up.”

“We need to get out of here.” I glanced back at the house. “Pandora may go to the police or the Syndicate. Johnny Cupcakes never knew our address so at least we’re safe there.”

Griff waved his hand. “I don’t think so. Cops would have already been here by now. Plus, we thought Phoenix would go, but she didn’t.”

I glared at him. “Pandora isn’t Phoenix.”

“Man, I liked this house.” West frowned and blew out smoke. “It was nice to swim in the pool. Fucking moron.”

“We’re over it.” I glared at West.

Griff rose. “I’ll go up and pack.”

“Be quick. Once we’re out of here, we’ll have to find out where she lives.” I gestured for Phoenix to come over.

She rose and picked up the bag.

Griff put his phone in his pocket. “Maybe, the donut shop will have some paperwork on her. Employee records or something with her address.”

“Good idea.” I nodded. “That’ll be our next stop.”

Phoenix got to my side.

We entered the living room.

West headed off. “What if Pandora doesn’t go back to her address?”

“Then, we’ll have to find her family or friends.”

West looked at me. “And if we don’t find that?”

Phoenix cleared her throat. “I know where Pandora would be going.”

My brothers stopped walking and turned to her.

I paused too and quirked my brows. “Where?”

“I don’t think she would call the police.” Phoenix shrugged. “Pandora said she had another team of guys. She probably went to them and will be heading to Johnny Cupcake’s storage unit in Glory.”

I smiled. “Good point.”

West nodded. “We need to get there before Pandora. That’s a good payday. And then, this whole trip won’t be for nothing.”

Griff sighed. “But, she’ll have a fucking head start.”

Phoenix shook her head. “The job isn’t a quick one. She still has to get the key either from the donut shop or Johnny’s house. Then she has to get the new set of guys to deal with the guards.”

I crossed my arms over my chest. “True.”

“It’ll take her at least an hour to convince the new set of guys to do the job. Maybe, thirty minutes to get there,” Phoenix continued. “This is if she really didn’t go to the police and just went straight to them.”

I looked at the rain. “They wouldn’t rob the spot tonight.”

“Not if they’re smart.” West blew out smoke. “They should check the place tonight.”

Griff held out his hands. “Can’t rob it in the day either.”

My head throbbed. “Then, the soonest would be tomorrow night.”

Phoenix jumped in, “Don’t forget that they still have to get the key.”

“Maybe, they can do that tonight.” Griff scratched his head. “We could probably block them at the shop or at Johnny’s house.”

Phoenix jumped in, “Until then, I’ve got people who can watch the storage spot and let me know if she comes by.”

West took a hit of his blunt. “Why would you do that, Phoenix?”

“Because we’re splitting what’s in the storage four ways.”
