“But the store is still open. People know ShopMore’s hours.”

John gets a twinkle in his eye.

“Don’t worry about it, baby. It’s fine. I’m the boss, and we can do what we want. Besides, I doubt many more people are going to come in. Give me just one sec and we can head out.”

Before I can say anything, John disappears toward the deli. My heart swells in anticipation and a flush blooms on my cheeks. I can’t wait because to be honest, I’ve never been on a real date before. The boys I’ve ‘gone out with’ over the years would occasionally try to kiss me, and Henry Bumpf once tried to reach under my skirt, but I screamed like holy hell, and he stopped. I think he was more scared than I was, to be honest.

But now, that’s going to change. John’s already deflowered me in the most delicious way possible and an ache courses through my pussy thinking of what he might do next. Will he take me in his car? Will he bring me to his house, and we’ll test out his mattress? I should be thinking innocent thoughts, but I’m a dirty girl and all I can think about his getting his huge shaft stuffed into one or more of my holes.

Unfortunately, a customer comes in while John’s away and she picks a few things up, lingering slowly. I want to scream at her to hurry up, but manage to smile when she finally wanders to the check-out counter.

“Hi, did you find everything?” I ask politely.

She nods.

“Yes, and I’m so glad you’re open. I’m a nurse, so I don’t have a ton of time to shop. This place is just perfect.”

I nod, trying not to look impatient.

“Well, thank you for your service,” I say cheerily, even as I will her on her way. “Your dedication is appreciated!” She looks like she wants to talk more, but then she grabs her stuff and departs.

“Thanks again,” she calls over her shoulder.

Fortunately, John returns after the woman leaves with her groceries. He’s carrying a bag of sandwich meats, bread, and cupcakes from the bakery.

“What’s all this?” I ask, cocking my head at the feast. He grins.

“It’s food that’s going to expire soon. I don’t want it to go to waste, so we’re going to eat it. I hope that’s okay.”

I laugh.

“It’s perfect. Not long ago, my brother and I were in line at the food pantry, so any food is good food.”

John frowns but then smiles again, although his eyes are still fierce.

“That will never happen to you again, Britney,” he vows softly. “You’ll never go hungry again. I promise.”

My mouth opens and closes even as my heart melts. This man wants to protect me, and already, I feel safer.

“Thank you,” is my soft reply. “I appreciate it.”

The twinkle comes back into his eyes, and he nods to the front door.

“Ready then?”

I furrow my brow.

“But where are we going? Are we just going to close the store?”

John grins again.

“We sure are, sweetheart. Again, it pays to be boss. Come on, live a little! Let’s hit the countryside and see what there is.”

I laugh joyfully, following him out to the parking lot where he leads me to a blue Camaro. My heart is happy, and my soul feels lighter. Being with John is a dream, and I only hope it continues.

My lover drives us through downtown, and then a few more miles out until we hit a rural area. Then he pulls into a deserted strip, and shoos me out of the car.

“Where are we?” I ask, looking around while shading my eyes from the sun.

He pretends shock.

“You don’t know? I thought you grew up here.”

I blush.

“I did, but my parents were very protective, and now my brother’s really protective. I didn’t get out much,” I say by way of explanation.

The handsome man merely presses a kiss to my head.

“Well, you’re safe with me now, so relax, Britney. I’ll show you the best place in Corona for a picnic.”

I laugh, and we hike about fifteen minutes to the banks of a bubbling creek. It’s gorgeous, with clear water trickling over smooth stones, and the sun glinting off the stream bed. Grassy areas invite us to sit, and I sigh while sinking down on a blanket John thoughtfully brought.

“This is so nice,” I say blissfully. “I can almost forget that we’re living through a pandemic.”

He shoots me a knowing look.

“I know, sweetheart. I could sense you were a little stressed, so I wanted you to relax a bit. Life hasn’t been easy for anyone lately, but I want to make things better for you. Lean back and eat, honey. Help yourself.”

The thought of fresh food makes me so happy that immediately, I open the bag he brought. Yum, roast beef sandwiches, drinks, chips, and even some chocolate cake.
