“Macklin?”

I opened my eyes to find him smiling a little.

“Yeah.”

Okay, then.

I nodded once and dropped my gaze to the center console.

“How are you feeling?” he asked.

“Embarrassed and uncomfortable.”

He withdrew his hands. “Can you tell me why?”

I swallowed hard and thought about it. The playtime I’d shared with Kingsley and Tate so far had been rougher and filthier in a way, when comparing the…acts, so to speak. With Jack, though, everything was different. We were family.

“My two worlds are colliding,” I replied hesitantly. “One of which I swore to leave behind when I separated from Samantha. Now you’re…proving to be nothing like I could’ve imagined—and you were already on the list of family members I actually care about. I hope you know what I mean.” I was a bumbling idiot.

He chuckled quietly. “I get it. Most of our family is a collection of pompous douchebags.”

He said it.

“And they talk,” I added. “They judge, they gossip, they twist words. They complicate everything.”

I couldn’t even imagine Samantha’s reaction if she discovered I’d been intimate with her favorite nephew.

“There’s nothing for them to twist here, though.” He touched my cheek, and I glanced up at him again. “What’s happening between us is private. No one’s gonna know. I’m not here to complicate your life, Franklin.”

I liked what he said up until that last part. I didn’t want him to think he was…I didn’t know, a complication?

“Do you want to have fun with me this week?” he asked.

God, yes.

“Yes.” I let my gaze roam his face, and I couldn’t believe this was where we’d ended up. That he would be attracted to me. That I’d get the chance to sort out all my misplaced emotions and discomfort—when all I really wanted in the end was to worship him.

I’d evidently suffered from a severe case of emotionally and mentally tugging at his metaphorical pigtails instead of being able to admit I was incredibly drawn to him.

He inched closer and brushed his lips to mine, and just like that, my pulse thrummed faster.

“Do you want me, Franklin?”

I exhaled a pitiful chuckle and rested my forehead to his. “Very much.”

“Good,” he whispered. “I want you too.”

I shivered and kissed him softly, tentatively, and this felt more like a first kiss. What’d happened at the gym was still messing with my head. And yet, if that was any indication of what playing with him for a week would be like, sign me up.

He calmed me down with sweet, tongue-teasing kisses, and one shiver set off another when he scratched my scalp soothingly.

“I apologize for being difficult,” I murmured.

He nipped at my bottom lip. “Don’t call yourself that. It’s the second time you’ve done it. Okay?”

I nodded once, feeling weirdly vulnerable, and I wasn’t sure I was ready for that emotion.

“Okay.”

“Good. Let’s go get waffles. Then I wanna see your place.”

I was definitely ready for that, though.

It would be nice if I got an orgasm too, was all I was saying.

As I got us back on the road, I felt much better, and it gave way to my own questions, starting with his “digging.”

“How exactly did you find my profile at Mclean House?”

“Your profile photo is of the Indiana Jones bobblehead figure you keep on the desk in your office.”

Oh hell. I couldn’t believe he remembered that thing. It’d been the most random pic. With Indy holding a rope, I’d figured I’d run with it.

“I didn’t search for more than thirty seconds,” he chuckled. “After creating an account, I went to the latest active list, and your account was in the top ten.”

Damn.

I supposed, given the circumstances, I was fairly easy to track down if you knew me. Besides, we didn’t have more than four hundred members in the online community. About one hundred and fifty active members who came to the house outside of Mclean.

“It’s an impressive list of fetishes you’re curious about, though,” he added with a smirk.

I side-eyed him and resisted the urge to wince. I was awfully open on that site—because that was the point. I was there to explore and meet like-minded people. It wasn’t an exaggeration if I said I’d listed over a hundred fantasies and fetishes.

Some, I could tick off as having experienced.

“Obviously, I found a Master Kingsley and an MK’s Property too,” he said.

Obviously. “That would be Tate and Kingsley. Tate is Lily’s teacher.”

“Ah.” He nodded slowly and twisted his lips between his fingers. “So Master Kingsley is your Handler. You’re listed as a plaything on his profile.”

Correct. Tate had listed me as his Daddy. “We have an arrangement of sorts.”

“Got it.” He shifted in his seat to face me better, and I couldn’t help but feel like he was inspecting me under a microscope. “I take it you’re done with monogamy?”

Oh, that was too soon to tell.

“To be honest, I have no idea what I’ll want in the future,” I admitted. “Right now, I want to explore. I do like the idea of belonging to someone in a more open structure, not too unlike what Tate and Kingsley share. A romantic relationship that’s reserved for them only, and then they sometimes play with others together.”
