“Mommy!” Addie yells, champing at the bit to join us. “I go to you!”

“Come here, Monkey,” Kira says, kneeling for Addie.

“You too,” I say to Violet, who wastes no time, running over to join us on the dance floor.

The song transitions from our first song to the one I requested the DJ play next, knowing it would be the dance with our daughters.

While Kira twirls Addie around in her arms, Violet stands on my toes so I can sway us to the beat.

“Are you having a good time?” I ask.

“The best,” she gushes. “And Mommy said when we get back, I get to make my name the same as yours and Mommy’s.”

My heart swells as my daughter looks up at me with happiness. Growing up, all I wanted was a family who loved me, and now, I’m surrounded by three girls who love me more than I could have ever hoped for.

“You do,” I tell her, lifting her into my arms. “And I can’t wait for you to have my last name. But you know you’re already mine, right? It doesn’t matter what your last name says.”

“I know. Because love is what makes a family,” she says, repeating the words I spoke earlier while we were reciting our vows.

“That’s right. And I love you more than all the stars in the sky.”

Violet grins and then counters with, “I love you more than the entire universe.”

We finish our dance, and then the DJ announces that everyone can join us on the dance floor.

Addie and Violet take off to dance with the other kids while I dance again with my wife.

We spend the rest of the night dancing, eating, and celebrating with everyone.

When it’s time for the garter and bouquet toss, I take advantage of my wife sitting in the chair, letting me feel her up with my mouth.

“Ryder,” she hisses through her laughter when I take it a bit too far and lick at her center.

What? It’s not like anyone can see what I’m doing under that puffy dress.

Plus, it’s been a long ass time since I’ve been inside her. First, she was on her period, and then she insisted we wait until our wedding night.

When I come out from under her dress with her garter between my teeth, everyone cheers, and Kira laughs.

The single men are prompted to step forward, and then I fling it behind me. When the crowd erupts in laughter, I turn around and find my grandfather standing there with the garter in his hand and a shocked expression on his face.

“Get it, Gramps!” I say with a fist bump.

“Okay, single ladies, it’s your turn,” the DJ announces.

Several women step forward while Kira stands and turns around so her back is to them. With a quick countdown, she throws it so far that it passes all the women and lands on …

“Oh shit,” I hiss as Kira spins back around.

“No! No way!” Paige yells, standing and stomping toward Kira with the bouquet in her hand. “Take it back. I don’t want this.” She thrusts it at Kira. “We all know I’m never getting married. So, take it back and do it over again. It would be wasted on me.”

“I don’t think it counts if I do it again,” Kira says nervously.

“Fine,” Paige huffs, snatching the bouquet back. “I’ll just burn it!”

“Paige, honey,” Ana says, coming over, “I know you’re in a dark place right now, and you have every right to be, but burning Kira’s bouquet is not the answer.”

Paige nods and sniffles as Ana guides her off the dance floor.

“I feel so bad for her,” Kira mutters, shaking her head. “What John did …”

“He’s an asshole, and she deserves better,” I say.

“Now, it’s time for the cake,” the DJ announces.

“Mmm.” Kira grins. “I can’t wait to try it.” Then, she mock glares. “And if you stick it in my face like the videos you showed me, I’ll withhold sex tonight.”

I bark out a laugh. “I wouldn’t dare, wifey.”

“Wifey.” She giggles. “I like the sound of that, hubby.”

After we cut the cake—and I don’t stuff it in her face because I’m sure as hell not risking upsetting my wife on our wedding night—we say good night to the girls since they’re going back to our house with Kira’s mom, Denise, for the night.

After much discussion, we helped her mom move to Rosemary. I got her set up in a cute condo close by, and Ana hired her as a secretary for Kingston. Kira and her mom have spent the past several months working on their relationship while Denise has gotten to enjoy being a mom and grandma. She loves spending time with the girls, and even Addie calls her Grandma now.

Tonight, I’ve booked us a suite at the hotel where the reception was held, and tomorrow, we’re taking off on a Disney cruise with the girls and Kira’s mom. We wanted this to be a family trip, and in a few months, we’re planning a trip for just the two of us.
