I do with abandon. Each plunge of my cock is deeper than the last, and as she drags her nails down my skin, I feel her tighten around me. The sweet sound that escapes her as she climaxes fuels me more, and I up my pace. I fuck her wildly, taking her mouth in a deep kiss as I fall over the edge growling her name as I come.

“Two fucks and a blowjob.” I toss Evangeline a smile as she turns toward the sound of the front door of the house opening. “That wasn’t nearly enough time.”

“Agreed.” She tugs on the bottom of the light blue T-shirt she’s wearing. She’s paired it with white shorts, and I happen to know that there’s a stunning white bikini beneath her clothing.

She plans to take a swim soon. I’ll do the same in what I sense will be a futile effort to block her body from the multitude of male eyes that will no doubt be glued to her.

Pete. It’s Pete that I don’t want near her, so I’ll do what it takes to keep his gaze on anything but her beautiful body in a bikini.

“Who won?” Evie asks as soon as Charlotte comes into view.

Judging by the defeated expression on her face, I’d bet on anyone but her as the winner of the pre-wedding round of golf. “Pete won.”

Of course, he fucking did.

“Congratulations, Pete!” Evie blasts that out with a smile as he rounds the corner.

He holds out both arms. “I’ll take a victory hug if you’re handing them out.”

“She’s not.” I kill that idea before it can launch. “What about a celebratory beer?”

“Since Randall’s already bought and paid for it, I’m in.” Pete laughs.

The other golfers wander into the dining room with Randall at the back of the pack. His gaze is stuck to his phone. The way his hand runs a path over his forehead is a sure sign that something isn’t right in his world.

“Randall!” I call out to him. “You okay, buddy?”

He glances at me before his gaze falls back to the phone screen. “Yeah, sure, just a hiccup in some plans I’m trying to firm up.”

I’ll circle back to that later because that seems like something a best man would do for the groom-to-be. “Do you want a beer, too?”

“I won’t turn that down.” He pockets his phone. “You look ready for a swim. I’ll join you for that after the beers.”

I glance down at the white trunks I tugged back on after I climbed out of Evie’s bed. I didn’t have the energy to trudge across the house to my room to look for something else to wear since the past few hours spent with her have left me exhausted in the best possible way. “Let’s do it before the beers.”

“I’ll come, too,” Evie says with excitement edging her tone. “A few laps never hurt anyone.”

I’d argue that point with her because Pete is stripping in the middle of this room. The blue polo shirt he had on flies in the air over the back of his head. “I didn’t bring trunks. No one minds if I skinny dip, do they?”

Just as his hand hits the zipper on his shorts, Randall’s bent over in laughter. “No, Pete. Just no. You’ll find a couple of pairs of swimming trunks in the closet of your room.”

“Damn.” Pete shoots a wink in Evie’s direction. “Before I do that, maybe we should poll the room to see if anyone else wants to jump in the pool without a suit on.”

Evie scrunches her nose. “It’s a suit for me.”

“Me too,” Charlotte chimes in. “I’ll go change.”

I suddenly realize I’m not going to be able to control who sees Evangeline in her bikini, so I start toward the sliding glass doors leading out to the pool. “Last one in has to drink a cup of Randall’s iced tea.”

Everyone scatters toward their bedrooms to change as laughter fills the air. Even Randall joins in with a chuckle. “Not funny, Reid. That’s not funny.”

I swing an arm around his shoulder. “You know it is, buddy.”

He stops walking to tap my chest. “You’re glad you came, right? Tell me you’ve changed your mind, and you’re hanging around until tomorrow.”

I glance to where Evie is stepping out onto the deck. She tugs her T-shirt over her head to reveal the white bikini top. “Nothing could drag me away from here today, buddy. Absolutely nothing.”

CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE

Evie

I glance at the screen of Reid’s phone when it rings for the second time within a two minute span. The first call went unanswered after he pressed the button to ignore it. “Someone is calling you. Kevin. Is that Kevin Dalca?”

Reid spins to face me, his hands dropping to his hips. “How do you know Kevin Dalca?”

Kicking my legs out in front of me on his bed, I shrug. “I don’t. He’s called the office a few times, wanting to speak with you. I’ve jotted down those messages and left them on your desk for you. You do read those and return the missed calls, don’t you?”
