"How long have you been standing there?" he demanded.

Long enough to realize I'm even more in love with you than ever, Ember thought, and it's all because you have the most incredibly massive cock.

But since she obviously couldn't say anything like that—-

"Good evening to you, too, sir."

One of the sheikh's bodyguards came forward to hand him a towel, and Ember prayed for self-control as she felt her pussy quiver at the sight of the demon prince wiping his sweat off.

You are so dirty, Ember Hallman!

Chapter Five

Ilyas couldn't stop himself from staring at his secretary as he absently ran the towel down his neck. She still looked like she always did. A redheaded bit of trouble with appalling taste for both eyewear and clothes.

And yet...

Something about her was nagging at him.

There was something about her that he seemed to have forgotten...but what?

Ember couldn't help feeling nervous when she saw the way Ilyas' gaze had narrowed at her. Were they finally going to talk about last night? Or was he going to pretend again that nothing had happened? Or maybe he didn't really remember anything and—-

"Excuse me."

A girl had suddenly inserted herself between them, and Ember couldn't help wincing at the sound of her voice. It was too cute to be real, and that was not good.

Ember tried catching the sheikh's eye to warn him from losing his temper, but with the girl already speaking again, it was already too late—-

"I just want to ask if you're done using the treadmill?"

The sheikh's lips tightened. "I got off already, didn't I?"

—-and all Ember could do was grab the demon prince's hand and drag him away before he could create a diplomatic crisis.

"You shouldn't have done that," Ember groaned under her breath.

"You know how much I hate it when people play dumb—-"

"Yes, yes, I know that. Everyone in the palace knows that, but we're not at the palace, are we? We aren't even in Huzna, so please—-" Ember looked up at her royal bosshole. "Please tell me you won't do that again. Please? Please? Please?"

Ah, fuck.

Ilyas hated being nagged at, but it felt different for some reason when Ember was the one doing the nagging.

"C'mon, demon prince, please?"

"I get it," Ilyas snapped.

"You have a royal image to maintain," Ember went on anxiously. "And it's important that you keep a low profile since—-"

"I said I already get it," Ilyas growled, "so can we fucking go now?"

Ember wasn't at all bothered by the sheikh's irritated tone as she hurried after him. Ilyas lost his temper so many times a day that she was no longer affected by his scowls and growls, and—-

Ouch!

Another woman had suddenly bumped into her, and Ember was aghast to see the woman accidentally spill her organic-chili-kiwi juice (it said so on the label) on her own top.

Ember automatically bowed in apology. "I'm so sorry—-"

"Are you serious?" the other woman screamed. "Do you know how hard it is to buy this limited-fucking-edition top?"

Ember didn't hesitate to apologize for the second time. "I'm truly very sorry." When one worked for the royal family, the less one had to do with public confrontations, the better.

"How did you even get in this place?" Scream Queen demanded. "You can't possibly be a guest at the hotel—-"

Ember's view of the other woman was suddenly blocked by Ilyas appearing in front of her. "Are you alright?"

The note of concern in the sheikh's voice terrified Ember, and she found herself switching to Huznan as she worriedly threw the question back at him. "Are you alright?"

Ilyas frowned. Why would she think he wasn't? She was the one who had the misfortune of encountering a banshee from Hell, not him.

"Did you hit your head or something in the past five seconds?" Ember was still speaking in Huznan, albeit this time in a whisper. "You sounded so disgustingly nice—-"

Damn this little chick.

He smiled down at her and said pleasantly in Huznan, "Just shut up and play along." He switched back to English right after, asking, "Are you hurt anywhere?"

Scream Queen let out another shriek. "Excuse me? I'm the victim here, hello?"

But Ilyas didn't even turn to look at the other woman and kept his golden eyes trained at his secretary. "Ember?"

"Uhyeargh." It was the best Ember could do, since the demon prince acting all sweet and caring like this was creepy as fuck.

"You must be more careful next time," he censured gently. "You do not want to risk being infected by human trash—-"

Ember choked as the sheikh's words made the other woman's face change color. It was hard to say exactly what shade, however, since Scream Queen looked red with humiliation at one moment, then purple with rage in another, and was that a little bit of green she was seeing as well?

By the time the other woman finally recovered her ability to speak, the sheikh had already led Ember out of the fitness club, and a dozen men in suits had sprung out of nowhere when she tried to run after them.
