I ache for her to look up at the camera. “Please, mi sirena, turn,” I plead. Her head twists upward as if she hears me, and my heart goes into overdrive. I can’t wait to see if her lips are as soft as they look. “I’m coming for you.” I press my fingers to my lips and then brush them across the screen.

Just then Magnus, my operations manager, knocks. I open it and take my jacket, sliding it on and walking down the hall. Anderson probably had another matter to attend to before handing it off. “What’s up? Dignitaries come in? Celebs?”

“I’m going to meet my future wife.”

“Wife? Where?”

“They’re in the lobby.” We move quickly, but when I get there, she’s gone. I look around, annoyed as fuck. “Security room, now,” I practically bark, unable to control my irritation.

We head to the room, which is just beside the main lobby behind the concierge desk. He cues up the footage from when I saw them, and then we watch as they enter the hotel restaurant.

“It looks like a wedding party.” He’s right. Everyone looks dressed for a wedding, but I’d probably go apeshit if she’s the one celebrating her marriage to the fuck with her, and that wouldn’t do the hotel any favors. Collecting myself because I know it’ll take at least an hour for them to dine, I take a seat in one of the chairs and wait.

I need more information, and it’s much closer than my office. Magnus nudges Anderson out of the way and then cues up the cameras for the restaurant. I notice the anger in Anderson’s face before he lets it go. He knows it must be important if we’re both in here. I’m going to have a talk with Magnus about that shit later. Anderson can easily knock Magnus on his ass, so it’s only because he wants to keep his job that he doesn’t.

The both of us search for their table. They have a larger party than I initially noticed. Damn, I’m usually on top of these things, but right now all I want is to be on top of her.

Everyone is cheering, and the just-married couple kiss. They make a lovely couple, but all I notice is my little siren calling to me without saying a word. It’s as if she knows I’m looking for her because she looks up at the camera.

The man next to her pisses me off as he rests his arm on the back of her chair. I want to break all of his bones, taking my time to torture until he understands that she belongs to me. Then the fuck on her other side earns a punch from her, but he laughs it off. My chest burns crazily. Why the hell is she surrounded by so many men? The men outnumber the women in their party. More importantly, they are too close to my little siren.

“Boss, we have a hit on the married couple and the other gentleman on the far end leaning into the little woman at his side. The newlyweds are William and Mary Brandon. He’s a DA in Texas. The other guy is Garrett Steele out of Steeleville, Texas. He founded the town along with his brother Jackson Steele over five years ago.” He hands me the tablet with the information gathered. I’m not interested unless it has to do with her, so I give it right back.

“Again. None of that shit matters. I want her name and the name of the fucker with a death wish.” He takes the tablet without a fuss and continues his digging. They are probably guests of the hotel. If we have one of their names, we should have the others.

Magnus knows that this must be serious as fuck because unless there’s a problem with a guest, I never even give them a second look. Never have I wanted to see a woman the way I want to see her. Naked, sprawled out over my sheets, me taking orgasms from her body until taking my own and leaving my future child. The need intensifies as I wait to find out more about my siren.

“We’re using the facial recognition software, but it will take time, boss.” I don’t want to hear that shit, but I can’t change that I’m demanding a miracle.

“Check the fucking guest registration. I’ll go congratulate the couple myself.” My security team stays on me as I make my way over to my future wife. She doesn’t have a ring on her finger, and the guy has already removed his arm away from her to eat his food. When I look at them, do I see a familial resemblance, or is that me being hopeful?

“Hello, I am Emiliano Martín. I’m the owner of this hotel, and I’d like to congratulate the happy couple.” I introduce myself, making sure my beauty learns my name because I want to hear call it out all night long.
