“I like that.” She kissed his chin, aiming for his lips. “You’re so good to me.” She stroked his chest. They had already made love twice and were currently waiting for Chinese to arrive. She stroked his chest. “How was work today?”

“It was the same. A lot of people partying.”

“Have you seen Melanie at your club?” she asked. “I haven’t seen her for a couple of days now, and she hasn’t been in touch.”

“This is the chick that left you high and dry?”

“Yes, we’re still friends. I just don’t trust her.”

“There’s a good reason for that.”

She ignored that. “Have you seen her?”

“No, not at the club. The last time I saw her was when I found you on the floor.”

“I’m really worried about her.”

“You want me to check in on her? I can do that for you, if you want.”

“You would?” she asked.

“Have you not realized there are a lot of things I’m willing to do for you?” He kissed her hard, and not only was there a flutter between her thighs, she felt it in her chest as well. Diego was so thoughtful and sweet.

“Thank you. I’m worried. She usually checks in by now, but I figured she felt a little guilty for abandoning me again. I can’t be mad at her though, I got you this time.”

“I’ll go and find her. I’m going to give her shit, you know that, right?”

She moved over his body, feeling his cock start to harden against her stomach. “I don’t have a problem with that. I just want to make sure she’s okay.”

She began to kiss her way down his body and was just at his cock when the doorbell rang.

“I’m starting to think the world is against you sucking my cock.” He eased her back on the bed. She wrapped the sheet around her as he padded out of the room.

Pushing her hair off her face, she collapsed back on the bed. Everything was so amazing. She couldn’t have expected this to happen for her.

Diego was everything she had ever wanted in a man and so much more.

She wanted all of him, all of the time. When he was around, she was filled with happiness, and she didn’t want to lose that feeling, not even for a second.

The smell of food and the sound of him returning put a smile to her lips.

“I hope you’re hungry. You want to eat in here or in the kitchen?”

“I’m happy to eat here. Will you grab a blanket to throw over the bed? I don’t want to make a mess.”

“Will do.”

He placed the food on the bed, returning seconds later to place the blanket over the top. Once he did that, he handed her a carton of food, with some chopsticks. “You’re good with this, right?”

“I’m good. Believe me, I can feed myself.”

He kissed her lips, startling her.

“I’ll never get bored of that, even if it does freak me out a little bit,” she said.

“I never want to freak you out.” He took her lips again. “I’m wondering if I should take the food away from you and have my way with you first.”

Her stomach chose that moment to growl.

“On second thought, let’s eat. I don’t want you to eat me.”

She gripped his arm, pulling him back. “You can eat me any time.” She burst out laughing. “I’m so sorry. That sounded a lot sexier in my head.”

He cupped her tit, his thumb stroking back and forth across her nipple. “I could eat you all day long, but I’m also a gentleman. I need you to eat your food. We’ll play after.”

She didn’t know when she got so lucky, but she had every intention of holding onto Diego, even if she didn’t think she deserved him. He was such a good man.

Chapter Six

“There’s decorating shit all over the place,” Diego said, taking Belle’s hand so she didn’t trip and fall. He’d taken her to his private, secure country home on the outskirts of the city. He’d purchased the house many years ago, and it was the home where he’d killed his first wife.

Her death had put such a fucking stain on the house, he’d completely gutted the inside, tearing down walls and getting an architect in to help him rebuild from the inside. It had taken him several years as the project was top secret.

None of this was done in his real name.

He used a fake name as he didn’t want his enemies to find this place. He had no intention of bringing Charlotte here to live.

He was torn between selling it or giving it to Belle.

She deserved so much more than a home where he killed his first wife.

“There are so many smells,” she said.

“It’s paint and varnish. The staircase was finished the other week.”

“Tell me everything. What does it look like?” she asked.
