It didn’t take long. It seemed Indi was primed to come when I got my mouth on her or my dick in her. Her moan was low and deep and stifled by the arm she’d flung over her face.

I felt her clench around my fingers, and her wetness dripped all over my beard.

I loved knowing I’d have her scent on me all day.

I stood, set her hiking boots on one shoulder and opened up my jeans, and worked my boxers down enough so my dick sprang free. I quickly sheathed it in a condom I pulled from my back pocket—Indi wasn’t the only prepared one on this outing—and slid home.

I held myself still as I crammed her full.

So hot. So wet. Her pussy clenched. Someone could put a gun to my head, and I wouldn’t be able to stop fucking her.

I pulled back, thrust deep. Indi’s fingers clawed at the rock. Realizing the unforgiving surface might hurt her back, I cupped her ass and lifted her up.

“Hurry, Ford,” she breathed.

She was fully clothed except for her lowered pants, but I couldn’t miss watching the way my dick disappeared inside her. With her legs trapped together, she was so fucking tight.

Shit. I wasn’t going to last.

“Touch yourself. Show me how you’ll come when I’m away.”

She reached between her thighs and circled her clit with two fingers.

“Good girl. Fuck, Blue. Such a good girl.”

I fucked into her as she rippled and came. My balls tightened, and nothing was keeping me from letting go. I saw stars. Went blind. Felt tingles down my spine. The best fuck ever.

Me, Indi, out in the wild. Wild ourselves.

FORD

* * *

“I want all the equipment checked and packed for the op this weekend,” I told Hayes.

We were in the war room—formerly Gram’s sewing room, which served as our temporary command center.

We met every morning at 0800 hours. One thing I’d learned in the military was regimen, and—except for my mountain man beard—I hadn’t dropped it when I came home. My mood may have been dark as hell, but at least I had a goddamn routine.

And a lot of wood to chop.

It was funny how different it all felt today, though.

I had Indi in my life. Everything had changed. Clearing Buck’s name was even more important because I didn’t want her to suffer another day without knowing the truth.

I also hated keeping this effort from her, but it was for her own protection.

“Already done, Master Chief.”

I heard the flap of the dog door, then Roscoe’s nails clicking across the wood floor. He trotted up to me and nudged my thigh with his nose. I reached down and scratched his ear. “Good. Kennedy, are the flights all set?”

“Yes. The commercial flight out of Billings at 0615 hours and a private one to Santiago from Houston at 1300 hours.”

Roscoe abandoned me and made his way around the room, getting pets from everyone.

We were headed to Chile as protection for a diplomat. Another had been kidnapped by guerillas and taken to… potentially north into the mountains of Peru. We’d split up, offering bodyguard and protection services as well as extraction. If we found the woman quickly, we’d be home within the week.

My cell rang in my pocket, and I pulled it from my shirt. The sight of Indi’s name on the screen had me smiling. “Hey, Blue.”

“Hey yourself. I got a call from Megan. Turns out, the break in? It was the Mellmans’ son, Roger.”

I frowned, trying to picture the kid. “He has an older brother?” I asked, running a hand over the back of my neck.

“Yes. Roger’s nineteen. Had mental health and drug issues. Been living in his parents’ basement since he was kicked out of MSU. He was caught on the Zinther’s doorbell cam breaking into the house across the street. He was caught three doors down by Mrs. Ellerby and her shotgun. Looks like he hit a string of places looking for drug money.”

I sighed in relief. I wasn’t thrilled a kid was doing shit like this, but at least the hunt was cash not hurting anyone but himself.

“He’s been sent to rehab in Idaho.”

“Good to know,” I said.

“Thought you’d want to hear about it.”

“Thanks. I’ll be by later.”

“You don’t have to,” she countered. “I know you’re leaving super early tomorrow.”

As if I’d skip even a few hours in Indi’s bed with her in my arms. Naked.

“I’ll be by later,” I repeated.

She laughed. “All right, mountain man.”

She hung up, and I realized everyone was eyeing me. Even Roscoe although his attention span was short because he went to his dog bed in the corner, circled three times, then flopped down with a sigh.

“They caught the kid who broke into her place.” I gave a rundown of what Indi had shared.

He was in rehab and hopefully on the right track. Indi was safe, and the house as secure as Fort Knox.
