Well, that’s the first penis I’ve ever seen.

I look away, fighting the urge to sneak a peek.

“Nope,” he chuckles. “And I hope you aren’t either.”

“I…why do you say that?”

Movement out of the corner of my eye forces me to look back as he advances on me.

Eyes up, Skylar. Eyes up!

God, he’s beautiful. It’s like he’s emitting some kind of gravitational force that’s simultaneously pulling me to him even as he comes closer to me. My heart rate is up, my body is on fire. What am I even doing here? I don’t have a clue, but it feels so right. So wrong, but yet so right.

He stops less than a foot from me—so close I can feel the heat radiating off his body as he fixes his eyes on mine, answering my question with them.

Wait, is he saying what I think he’s saying?

“Oh no!” I say, my voice trembling.

“Oh, yes,” he laughs. “You think I’m gonna be the only one skinny dipping?”

“Hey, I didn’t ask you to take your clothes off!”

“Well, I don’t have a bathing suit.”

“I am not getting naked in front of you,” I reply adamantly.

“Stop pretending,” he scoffs.

“Pretending?” I ask. “Stop pretending what?”

The gorgeous man whose name I don’t even know reaches out and places his hands on my waist.

Oh my God, a naked man has his hands on me.

“Stop pretending like you don’t want to,” he says, his voice low. “Stop pretending you aren’t looking for something exciting, something that shakes you out of the boring, humdrum, stereotypical life you’ve been living.”

“I—”

“And right now, sweetie, that’s me. Now get those clothes off and jump into the water with me.”

How does he know all this? How is it that it feels like he’s looking straight through me and into my soul? Right into the core of my being?

It’s like a golden thread has been run between us, stitching us together. I feel something I shouldn’t be feeling for a man I just met, but I can’t help it. My eyes are locked on him, and I’m taking my clothes off, trembling but knowing that every word he just said to me is the undeniable truth.

“That’s my girl,” he says with a smile as my shorts slip down past my ankles. I’m shaking, but it’s not because I’m afraid; it’s because I’m excited, feeling a sense of freedom and attachment that I can’t explain.

The man whose name I don’t even know slips his hand around my lower back and guides me to a rope swing hanging from a tree beside us.

“Hold on tight,” he says. “You don’t want to fall off before you hit the water.”

“I…wait—” I try to protest, but he doesn’t wait. Wrapping his arms around me, he grabs the rope and kicks off. I have no choice but to hold on for dear life.

“Oh my God!” I cry out as we arc through the air, beams of sunlight breaking through the canopy above.

“Okay, now let go!” he calls out. I do—we both do, together, and plummet into the water below.

The chill takes my breath away, and I come up screaming.

“It’s freezing!” I laugh, splashing and kicking my way back to shore.

“Refreshing, isn’t it?” my mystery man laughs, following after me.

I reach the sand before him. Thankfully, it’s warm, and I roll over onto my back, laughing up at the sun doing its best to beat the chill from my body. My date takes his place beside me a few seconds later. I do my best not to glance over at his naked body, but it’s a nearly impossible task.

He’s jaw-droppingly handsome, and wet with the sun causing his body to glow, he’s like a sculpture of sex, sending my hormones into a wild frenzy. I’ve never been so turned on in my entire life.

“You up for it?” he asks.

“I—what?” I stammer. “Up for what?”

“Another go on the rope swing.” He winks.

“Oh!” I reply. “Yeah, okay.”

He stands, helps me to my feet, and gives me a curious, mischievous look. “Why, what’d you think I meant?”

I follow him up the slope, trying not to check out his muscular glutes too hard, and we have another go on the rope swing into the chilly lake water. We go again and again until neither of us can take it anymore, and then bask in the sun on the warm sand until the evening comes and dusk begins to fall.

Lying beside him, it’s almost like the rest of the world doesn’t even exist. Becca, Sam, and Emma could literally be trashing the house right now and I wouldn’t even care. They could be starting a website making up rumors about me the whole world will read, and it wouldn’t matter. It’s like I’ve stepped into another dimension for the last few hours with this man by my side—this man whose name I don’t even know.
