James looked at the man who’d been by his side through everything. He loved Drake more than anything else in the world.

They’d been together over ten years now.

Both of them wanted a woman, but a woman to share.

James’s reputation had held them back. Neither of them had wanted their life dragged through the mud in order to make a quick buck. Their story was their own, and because he was fucking rich, women wanted to exploit him.

One mistake.

That was all it was.

He and Drake had gone to a fucking nightclub. He’d gotten a client he’d been working ten months to acquire. It was a victory, a celebration, and he’d pushed Drake up against an alleyway, and he’d sucked his cock. High on alcohol, on happiness, and on everything.

That was where Abby’s parents came in.

They’d been to the same club, they had realized who he was. They had filmed the entire thing and gotten photographs.

Come Monday morning it had been a rude awakening for him when her mother and father requested a meeting. When he’d declined, his secretary was given an envelope of some of the images they had. They’d warned him that if he turned them away, they were going to make a lot of money out of them.

They now had access to more with his marriage to Abby.

“Find out what they have on Abby,” James said.

“What?”

“You heard me. The plan still stands. She is going to end up fucking you and I’m going to have the leverage I need. Do you understand? But I won’t act until I know more. If they have nothing on her, then Abby is going down. You follow my rules.”

“And if they have something?”

“We’ll make a decision closer to the time. For now, stick to the plan.”

“Fine. I can handle that.” Drake got to his feet. “Until then, no more good times for you.”

Drake didn’t even kiss him as he left the room.

James shook his head and made his way out to the pool.

Standing in the doorway, he watched Abby floating on her back, much like he’d found her last night. Her hands were waving through the water. She looked so calm and relaxed.

Are you a good girl or a bad girl, Abby?

He wouldn’t be fooled by a woman, not ever again. Drake was always too caring, too trusting.

James needed to take care of the both of them. Bring Abby down and make sure Drake is safe.

“Nice,” James said, pointing at the red bathing suit.

“Thank you. I used another from the drawer. I hope that’s okay.”

Drake had been the one to go out shopping. He’d wanted her to have as much comfort as possible. Of course, James had not cared either way. He was marrying her to save them both.

He wasn’t embarrassed about loving Drake.

Both of them had realized at a young age and early into their relationship that they wanted to keep theirs private. People didn’t try to interfere if they didn’t know anything.

“That’s more than okay. Drake got the right size.”

He removed his shirt, pulling it off over his head.

James caught her watching, and he didn’t have a problem with that.

He wanted her to watch, to look, to take her fill.

Toeing off his boots, he moved to his belt. Staring into her eyes, he dropped his pants, and next, he went straight for his boxer briefs.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

“Getting naked. I only swim in the nude.”

He dropped them, and she covered her eyes.

“What are you, twelve?” he asked.

“How can you have flocks of women surround you wherever you go? You’re so mean.”

“What makes you think I have flocks of women?” he asked, stepping into the water. He was quiet, and she still had her hand up covering her eyes.

“I’ve seen the magazines. I know that you’re never alone. There’s always a woman on your arm.”

He smiled.

Did she sound a little jealous?

He waited until he was close enough to her that he could reach out and touch her before speaking.

“Haven’t you ever been told to not believe everything you read?” he asked. As he spoke, she gasped, whirling around, and as she tried to pull away, he caught her hand and pulled her close.

With both hands on her hips, he moved her legs so that they were wrapped around his waist.

“Perfect,” he said.

“Why are you doing this?”

“Why am I doing what?”

“Why are you being nice to me?” she asked. “I’m not an idiot. I know you want something.”

He rolled his eyes. “I’m trying to make the best of a bad situation and you think I’m up to something.”

“We’ve been married a handful of hours, and for most of them so far you’ve wanted a way out of it. I want a way out of this too.”

“You do?”

“Yes. I don’t want to stay married to a man that doesn’t like me, but I don’t want to be a pawn in my parents’ game. It’s too much.”
